Witter to Hatton: Give Britain What it Wants

Witter has been using Hatton's name to get leverage his entire career and he hasn't be calling him out as challenger to champion, he's been smack talking the whole time. Witter is a pure gob****e and no mistake. I would like to see Hatton knock Witter to pieces, but I would prefer to see a tear up with Castillo any day of the week. Here's what would be good: A fight with Witter at the end of the year for the WBC belt. A move up to 147 and fight a "tune up" to get into the weight, say Baldomir or maybe someone who isn't ranked top-ten between January and March, then look at fighting Cotto and Mayweather in 2008 - 2009 and then calling it a day.

Witter is definitely someone who should be in there somewhere, but there's no way he should get to fight in summer, it just makes no sense to do that.

As for this "winner takes all" BS, that would only last until negotiations opened then suddenyl it'll be looking for 50-50.

So you think he should call Castillo's people and say "I'm sorry, I can't take a huge fight with Jose for a career high payday because someone is saying naughty things about me and I have to teach him a jolly well lesson!"? Witter is basically putting a time limit on a fight with Hatton. Why is that?

Witter said that they have to fight in a football stadium therefore it has to be summer. There's nothing stopping it from being in the fall, October would be alright for the weather. Sure there may be concerns for the state of the grass but they still have pop concerts at stadiums without too much trouble.

As I mentioned Witter has been calling out Hatton even before Castillo came into the picture. Should he call off the Castillo fight? Yes definitely.

A fight with Witter is a unification fight dude and it's gonna be bigger in terms of stature and money. Winner takes all? Castillo can wait for later. All Hatton has to do is tell Witter to get his ass in here in the U.S. and that fight can be bigger. Now let's see what Witter has to say.

Sorry psychopath, not with you there. Both Witter, Hatton and PBF are approaching their last few fights. Hatton needs PBF for validation. His route to PBF is via big names in the USA. Witter needs anyone. Noone even mentions his name outside of in relation to Hatton.
PBF still needs validation in the eyes of the general public. Hatton is one of those fighters (and one of his easiest choices) who can provide that. He's an unbeaten name.
I'm not saying I love Hatton but if I were him I'd aim for every big name I could especially PBF. With 6 or so fights left to him, Witter would be a huge waste of time after a fairly poor year by his standards.
For any names (Cotto, Floyd, Mosley, DLH) Hatton is a great name to beat who looks vulnerable right now. I think Hatton needs to avoid meaningless fights with the Witters and N'dous of the world, take on some HOF fighters, win or lose in good battles and then retire.
