    Foolish.
Its simple though, just make it a week earlier before or after, or else lose tons of money.

Yeah, this would be a perfect co-feature for the DLH-PBF PPV, but as a Showtime main? Yikes, but I'll definitely TiVo it and watch it after DLH-PBF.

Two washed up fighters going head to head on the same night with two pound for pound greats? Not going to work. I doubt it will break 50,000 ppv buys, if it will make ppv at all, doesn't deserve to.

they are both washed up. BUT, they both still fight till the end.

They both showed it their last time out.

I think the fight would be a WAR and i would LOVE to watch the fight.

It wont sell well because of the fight its competing with, but it will definetly take away from DLH-Mayweather sales.

I dont understand why SHOWTIME is even trying to compete.

They should threaten to compete, and then change the date with the agreement that HBO has to advertise the MAYORGA-VARGAS fight.

thats actually not a bad idea eh?

The problem with this is that HBO will announce the results of Vargas-Mayorga. In fact they might even put a graphic up to try and ruin it for people who have the sound turned down.

I dont know why people are hatin on this match. Its going to be a great fight and when i say fight i mean "fight". I tought the plan was for them to fight on June 10th. But HBO does know that the frist Saturday of every month is "Showtimes Fight Night". NO MATTER WHAT is goin on, Showtime will put some boxing on. This has to be their best attack on the PPV fight DLH- Mayweather. It will take some money out of HBOs pockets.

Vargas had to starve himself to get down to junior middleweight, and looked terrible against Vargas because of this. Against Mayorga, I assume Vargas would be fighting at 154 again, which is very bad news. If Vargas has any future in the sport it is the 168 lb division. Thats right, not 160, 168, 154 is that far from his proper division.

I am feeling more and more strongly against the day before weigh ins. The way fighters are cutting weight is absolutely ridiculous. Fighters should not be sucking on ice cubes and not eating for the three days prior to a weigh in.

Physically, Vargas has looked way way off since he was caught taking steriods, and I assume it's because he hasn't taken them since. In every one of his fights his speed and power hasn't been the same, and just visually you can tell his body is way different because he has a lot less muscle definition.
