    Mayorga-Vargas to go head-to-head with Mayweather-DLH??

    Mayorga vs Vargas May 5?

Former world champion Ricardo Mayorga is in the United States after being detained last week in his native Nicaragua. Promoter Don King reportedly helped bail Mayorga out of two legal sc****s, and now there is talk that the Nicaraguan strongman is in the U.S. to sign a contract for a possible mouth-watering May 5 showdown against Fernando Vargas on SHOWTIME, which would go head-to-head with the De La Hoya-Mayweather pay-per-view event the same day. Stay tuned...

Since when was Mayorga a "Strongman".

Jesus if he's a "Strongman" what does that make Oscar? Is that some type of personality label or what?

      "Nicaraguan strongman"

That would make DelaHoya the Mexican-American strongman.

What a waste of what would be a fun, though insignificant, matchup.

Well put, ive been lookin forward to that but EVERY1 will watch Oscar vs Floyd rather than a shot Vargas vs a slightly above average fighter probably well on the slide in Mayorga!

It would of been bad ass if it would of been a part of the undercard for Mayweather jr. v.s De la hoya.

Theres no reason to go head to head. Showtime must be crazy.
If anything, Vargas vs Mayorga should be the undercard of Oscar / Floyd

Great example of what is wrong with our sport, both men are shot but tailor made for war- a fight that will be cant miss in terms of action.

The NFL doesnt televise both its championshhip games at the same time, this is essentially what would be done here.

                  Absolutely ridiculous.

At this point in Vargas's career one power punch from "Strongman" Mayorga ( lol btw...) would flatten him. Both are shot but Vargas is far worse than Mayorga.
