I remember Everlast sent me a catalog because I ordered stuff from their page and it had Gatti on the front talking about his last fight and who he wants to fight and he had said Miguel Cotto because he felt he could hurt him but his mind might have changed since then..

A gatti-corrales fight does seem very appealing i'd love to see him go out on a win and beating corrales who is a credible opponent and is very beatable seems perfect.

Also we cant really judge Gatti's power at 147 cause in his earlier days the Hutchinson fight the headbutts CLEARLY threw him off his game plan, DLH has a very solid chin and Baldomir's head is full of cement.

Even Damgaard gave him a little trouble in spots The facts r there. The guys r just too big, and Gatti's power isnt as effective

U act like Gatti is the only fighter ever to take advantage of fighting at a smaller weight. EVERY fighter does that. And as time goes on it gets harder to make that weight and they r forced to move up. Gatti started at lightweight 135 won a title then moved up to 140 and won a title and challeneged for one at 147. Look at other fighters weights, its very similiar
Actually Gatti started at feather I think, but he was always big for his weight classes. He outgrew all of them awhile ago. If he was such a small welterweight, how did he weigh in unofficially at 160 pounds for a junior welterweight fight, in 2000? He sure as hell hasn't gotten smaller since 2000. Gatti killed himself to make 140.

Gatti has had trouble in fights in every weight class he's been in. It's nothing new. Baldomir has an iron chin and simply outfought Gatti because he threw straighter punches and cut off the ring. Oscar is simply on another level than Gatti.

Certo also used to train Buddy McGirt.

            Gatti actually started at 126.

And I think Corrales would whup Gatti

Gatti wouldn't beat Gatti at this point. He comes off of two brutal beatings, it's a repeat of vargas, mayorga and everyother B fighter that has been expose for what they've been all along: B Fighters

For his own good I hope he doesn't go for Cotto, as he has an open date for jun 9 now that Margo is fighting Williams.

No Mcgirt Means No More Losses For Arturo

i think you guys are all nuts. i think gatti, with a new trainer, will get rid of corrales in less than 8 rounds. no more mcgirt telling him " dont trade with him." "tap tap get out." "not everything has to be hard." "dont get caught up in the crowd." "dont get into a slugfest."
Mcgirt could have tyson and he would probably want him to box with mayweather. without mcgirt, gatti's gonna be a new fresh FIGHTER.

Gatti is in his mid 30s and has taken an insane amount of punishment.

He simply can't be a fresh new fighter after all that.
