How come when I said this years ago, everybody disagreed with me? Funny how every single RunWithKnives thread seems to go that way. I'm not necessarily saying you disagreed with me before but all of a sudden all your opinions become my previous ones. Not hatin, just noticin.

I'd have to toss it up with Lamotta, Hagler, and Kid Gavilan. All had only one knockdown, and Hagler's was a BS call.

I agree with Toney, going from 160 to heavyweight and taking big shots is something else, but he doesn't really get hit clean so it's tough to say. Of course, you don't want to just stick your face out there, cuz this is a sport you play to win.

Toney was legitimately floored by Reggie Johnson, at 160.
Nunn & McCallum were not big punchers.

Meanwhile....Marvin Hagler walked through the best punches of true KO artists like Hearns, Mugabi, & Cyclone Hart.
Jake LaMotta took the best punches of Bob Satterfield, who knocked out heavyweights.

Toney's chin is unquestionably great, but the two I mentioned had better beards.

I hope you are not trying to play the p4p card on me, we both know its garbage. We are straight up comparing chins. Who can take a better punch. Not who can theoretically take a better punch if all fighters were of the same size.

Edit: Chuvalo was only 6 feet tall. Not the biggest guy around.
A super middle in Toney moved to heavyweight and took their punches.

Chuvalo is a natural heavyweight, and you saying I'm bringing the "P4P card" is ridiculous because that IS VIRTUALLY THE ONLY THING THAT APPLIES.

Like I stated Toney is 5'8 and has the skeletal structure of a middleweight and he's fighting total gorillas in the ring. end of story.

Run....Toney does have a great chin, but it helps that he has been so difficult to hit cleanly, & was about impossible to string a flurry against.

He gets hit clean more often than everyone likes to admit.

He's not as slick as everyone says he is.....and he lays on the ropes just toying with people because they can't hurt him. In my best estimation.....you can't score points against Toney with a single punch because his head doesn't snap back....ever. Jirov hit him with plenty of flurries that landed right where there were supposed to and a huge Cruiserweight puncher couldn't drop him. The only way to beat him is to simply throw more punches than he does to outwork him.

Jirov was odd. I never thought he hit hard that hard when going upsatirs, but hit like a sonofabitch to the body, ala Micky Ward.

Jirov had a tendency to slap upstairs, but to the body he was wicked, especially with the left.

Wayne McCullouch. The guy can take an incredible amount of punishment. You could hit him with a ****ing sledgehammer and he'd stay standing.

Jake LaMotta had an unbelievable chin too. Toney does too, I can see why people are putting him in there. And Chuvalo was a tough ****er

Chuvalo had never been dropped in his 93 fight career, he went in against the likes of Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Terrel, Patterson, Folley.. he had one of the greatest chins in history, there's no doubt about it.
