George Foreman stopped him, so did Floyd Patterson.

Those punches Jirov was throwing still had steam on them in the 12th round.

I remember it was a left hook that dropped him, but both were past their primes.

You're right, I was thinking of Henry Cooper. The Chuvalo fight was some kind of war. He was taking some ass kicking from Foreman and Frazier before the fights were stopped.

I always cite Marcos Villasana....as one of the strongets-chinned fighters in history.
This guy took the best punches of guys like Antonio Esparragoza, Azumah Nelson, Jeff Fenech (when Jeff still ****** hard), & Paul Hodkinson, without ever going down.
He has an all-time great chin, but is quite underappreciated/unknown.

Toney had/has a sick chin! I wonder how guys like Hagler and Lamotta would have taken the blows had they moved to heavy? Toneys chin is right up there with them P4P. Even at heavy its 1 hell of a chin! Id say a guy like Chuvalo or even Mercer and such had better chins tho

LOL at Lederman's scorecard going into the 12th. Toney dominated that fight on the cards. I love watching that 12th round as Jirov tries anything and everything and Toney just rolls him.

Toney fought as a middleweight, dude. Name one other middleweight who could take flush shots from Peter.

But you are right about those guys having great chins. Not sure about Vitali because Lewis was the only guy that hit him with anything big. Sanders landed very few good shots on Vitali early and that was it. McCall and Tua took flush shots from Lewis, Tua for 12 rounds. Tua also took flush shots from Ibeabuchi. Tua had the best heavyweight chin ever, but p4p, which I think is the point of the thread, it's Toney.
