Even in the first Rahman fight he took that right hand several times before the ko shot. One of them landing 30 seconds before the ko, im sure that shot did hurt him and led to him dropping his hands. These punches in this video should of put him down at least if he was that weak chinned, remember people talk today about tua, briggs, klitschko being the hardest hitters out there!

Not really a debate is it.
Everyone agrees, Lewis had a decent chin.

Considering he fought top quality opponents for nearly his whole career, he did very well.
He also went down against Akimwande. It wasnt counted, and it was just a flash kd.

Although people say that against such big men, single punch KO's can happen to anyone, Im not sure how many other champions have been KO'd with a single shot twice.

It's a shame that happened, because otherwise Lewis would undoubtedly go down in history as an unbelievable champion. And if it had only happened against McCall then it wouldnt be so bad. And I honestly believe that it only happened against Rahman because of Lewis' laxidasical attitude to training due to the whole Ocean's Eleven ting. But whatever the reason, it did happen, and it undoubtedly hurt Lewis' legacy. But I dont think he had a bad chin but perhaps not the greatest...

...I would pretty much agree with this. He survived alot of big punchers but was also hurt on many an occasion and dropped the two times. It seemed like if he recovered from a shot that hurt him he would adjust and right himself. He even did it in the Klitschko fight but I still feel he was hitting a wall in the 6th and was about to have more issues. Looking back I wouldn't say he had a glass chin, and he had the balls to get in the ring with a ton of huge punchers. He probably took on more heavy hitters than any heavyweight ever.

Lennox had a chin that done its job. If his good defence accidently leaked a punch it could stand up to the odd shot at the whiskers. But Lennox was a great boxer and it was other peoples chins his gloves tested.
By the way i am not sure the shot Rahman landed on Lennox to knock him out would have KO'ed any heavyweight in history.
Aside from Ali, perhaps James Toney is the only heavyweight who could have absorbed it.

People underrate his chin a lot because of Oliver and Rahman...
I've watched almost all of his fights and his chin is definetly not glass

He proved he could take Rahmans right hand throughout the fight, the accumulation however is what did him, he stood up to a big flush right hand 30 seconds earlier, thats what got him dropping his hands and smiling allowing Rahman to get him on the ropes for the ko, check this out,

yea,,I remember it. he was gassed becuase he didnt acclimate to the altitude plus it was so obvious he had no respect for rahman the way he was acting in there with his hands down and all. the first right hand probably softened him up some and allowed that final big one to shut the lights out a little more than it would have
