Havent read the posts on this thread. Too many! But PBF is being a good boy now and thinking of boxing Hatton now then. Good boy Mayweather. Youre talking a great fight and i am loving it.

It would take a ridiculous amount of money to get PBF to fight Hatton in the UK. I don't think that type of money is there for it...

Just cos one guy is an exciting fighter doesnt mean the other can't be. I think Mayweather and Hatton are both good to watch. Hatton's style has changed lately and his clinching is starting to get annoying, but it was only in the later rounds last time out. Let's hope that changes and we see the old Hatton back again. Mayweather is sublime and I really enjoy watching him too, but for different reasons.

i disagree. a lot of those losses were early in his(Carlos Baldomir) career. He must have had an awakening because he went undefeated for almost 9 years. In those 9 years, he faces by far his best competition.

He was better than his record indicated but just good enough to be competitive. He really wasn't that big of a welter. Small at 5"7 in heigth, he just got fat when he wasn't fighting walkin around at 180?. Look at his defining moments:

Beat Zab Judah(almost Ko'd) good job but Zab was handing him his ass until he caught him and exposed Zab for either being out of shape and unfocused or confirming a su****ious chin

Fascinating read. Some rather interesting points to pick up on.

Firstly, it seems that people are going to have to stop whining about how 'Hatton is always talking about Maywhether' cos PBF has been talking about Hatton quite a bit lately. Also the 'this fight will never happen' crowd may have to back down from that one too, especially the ones who make that claim due to the fact that 'Hatton isnt even on Floyd's radar'.




PBF really should leave the trash talk to those with a quicker wit. A lot of the stuff he says dont even seem to make any sense.







If that is even remotely true, I'd be very worried if I were a PBF fan right about now. Thats perfect news for Hatton.




Serious question. Does anyone think that the same amount of people who made the trans-atlantic trip for the UK to America to watch Hatton vs a relative nobody would make the trip to the UK from America to watch PBF fight a nobody? The answer is a definite no.





I dont think that Floyd would fill 20,000 seats in the UK without fighting Hatton. In fact, there is no way that he would. The remark about money is rather telling though, I dont think that you can look down on Hatton because he doesnt try to fleece his fans by over-pricing tickets. Ricky is pretty down to earth, money isnt all he is interested in. Maybe thats why more people like him.

Floyd barely dre over 9,000 when he fought Baldy and half of the booed during the fight and left before it was over. He is just as delusional as his DAD!!!

I wouldn't go quite as far as saying Hatton is the biggest sports star in the UK, (thats never going to be a boxer) but he's very popular with huge swathes of the North and yep, he could sell 60,000 for a fight against a big name, no doubt.

He's the biggest name boxer in the UK since the JuyJuy years....

Very interesting that the biggest names in sport in the UK tend to come from

1) Football (not just Beckham!) Gerrard, Rooney
2) Tennis Henman now Murray
3) Motor Racing - Button
4) Rugby - Wilkinson
5) Cricket - Flintoff

I bet most of the US guys on here will never have heard of any of those people, but then again I couldn't name a single current American football player and only know Barry Bonds for the Balco scandal!
