How Does BoxingScene.com View Bernard Hopkins Now?

Everyone always said he wants to fight Roy Jones because Roy is shot and there is no risk. Now hes fighting Winky Wright who is a top fighter. Do you guys give him more respect for this move?

I have always respected Hopkins and I can't wait to see this fight. Two of my favorite fighters. They said it's agreed. Does anyone know when it will become official???

I've always respected B-Hop too. I think its a good fight, Bernard is taking on a tough fighter. Winky isn't going to be easy...

Cant take nothing away from BHOP, he's one of the best if not the best MW of our era. But going up to 170 and challenging Wright at that weight where he knows Wright doesn't belong? Why don't they fight at 160, maybe 165 or go for Calzaghe? Forget RJJ.

I agree that Calzaghe-Hopkins at 168 is ideal, because it is two current champs facing off and a Hopkins win would give him undisputed titles in three weight classes (how many others have been undisputed in three?).

But Winky and Hopkins are my two favorite fighters, so I'm thrilled about this. I just hope it's a good fight. I'm not expecting fireworks, but I am expecting a great chess match. (Purist alert!)

I honestly do not believe weight will be a problem for Winky. I think Wink can make that weight and probably look good. Winky's power isn't going to change anyway or have a factor so the weight will be fine. I'm sure Wink is going to take this serious. He saw the physical mismatch with Hopkins and Tarver so he should be ready.

I agree, but why would a MW come up to 170 to fight BHop? Does BHop want to take on the smaller guy again coming up in weight (DLH, Tito)? Am I the only one who see a pattern here?

It could be but I think Winky is well aware of coming up and sees no problem with it. But I don't think Hopkins will muscle Wink around. Winky has a solid base and good shoulders. And I am curious if Hop can get on the inside and rough him up a little bit.
