this is why I like the sport of boxing, boxers just arent done yet, they dont retire, there's always a feeling they do come back, I hope Tito does come back and beat the hell out of cory spinks.

It would make sense to fight a "Cory no chin Spinks" and gain a title at 154 will set up a bigger event on the next fight.

This is exactly what others and myself thought when Mayweather-Spinks was on the verge of being made. PBF wins a 154 title and sets up unification at 154 for the DLH fight.

Problem was, it really didn't matter. People (main******/fairweather fans) don't care about alphabet belts, they just care about who is fighting. Hardcore fans care, but we just don't matter nearly as much. \

I would love for Tito to come back, but I would be afraid of him getting outboxed for 12 rounds by an elusive Spinks. Tito can KO him, no doubt, but it wouldn't be as easy as people will think. If he loses, it would be a pretty big embarassment.

Besides, if Tito did come back, the fight would be in August (July 21 HBO PPV is now taken, as is June 9) or maybe late June/early July. I don't know if two months (or less) would be enough time to set up a DLH rematch anyway.

This is a big DK card that is very close to Puerto Rico. I think those are the biggest two reasons he'll be there, not for a comeback (though generating buzz about it will help ratings/gate, which I'm sure was DK's idea).

A few months ago, on a newspaper here, Tito's dad said they would like to fight Cory Spinks, since they respected him and his family. They said it would only be at 160, and Cory said that Tito is a legend and he'd move up for him. Bad move IMO for Spinks. If it does happen, it's kinda lame cuz it's obviously Tito fighting the highest profile fighter he can who he thinks he can beat. Win or lose, Spinks will still have his 154 title. So where does Tito stand after this? This is where I'm not so sure. Say he wins, will he keep fighting, and if so, who would he fight? It just seems like a very insignificant fight to me, although if it happens I'll be watching.
