I see your point but that's how they are called. Negro means black in spanish...which is in turn deragatory to the Americans.

Like Indians, Aztecs, Mayans, there are tribes in P.I. that are called Negritos. It's not deragatory....I guess only to the most Americans.

In P.I. there is this black beer made by San Miguel Beer Corporation called Cerveza Negra. Everybody else including the latinos will be happy if they are offered one.......sadly except for some americans....LOL.

to me "negrito" isnt a fighting word but "negro" and when you put a bad word in front of that are. Like "pinche negro"=fighting words(depending on the situation ofcoarse).

Negrito=Not a fighting word.
Like a girl might say "Oh mira el negrito esta guapo" meaning that black dude is good looking.
