Briggs has shown flashes of heart in some fights but overall my impression of him is an insecure underachiever who fabricates asthma stories to cover for his own laziness/lack of dedication to boxing. That's my view on him, I couldn't care any less if others don't share it.
Will Sultan pimp smack Briggs durring the Presser?

Briggs might not be the most coordinated puncher, he might not have the best stamina in fact it's bad, he might be a bit suspect beard wise...because he's been cracked and fallen, but.
He's huge....I mean when you look at him and Lewis standing next to eachother in their fight etc...you can see how massive he is. He's like the big kind of 6'4 and it takes a big man to neutralize that. Sultan is way too small IMO and if you see them standing next to eachother....it's laughable.
I don't want to hear about how "Dempsey charged Willard and took him out of there when he only weighed 180 etc". Sultan is no Dempsey and Briggs is closer to a Lewis than Sultan will ever be.
I don't think Sultan is the real deal....I think he's a product of the Slav boom of heavyweight fighters and every promoter is just hurrying to get his hands on one. Whether it's the Ibragimov Brothers, Liakahovic, Maskaev, or Virchis or whoever.....They're all garbage. Tough, but garbage nonetheless.

I couldn't disagree more. Eastern europe, in the next few years, will be THE breeding ground for future world class heavyweights. They are too tough and strong over there, too much desire for us to compete with on a consistent basis. The American boxer is a dying breed IMO.
Why is this? Well there are close to zero high school programs in this country. Gyms are closing down all over. It's a sad sight but one we need to accept. As youth interest in boxing fades, the outlook does not look good. Boxing isn't dead but it's getting there in America.Comment

Yeah the stamina issue with Briggs is what makes me think Sultan will TKO him in the mid rds. Sultan aint going to melt down like Laykovich so I think either UD or TKO win for Ibragimov...I realy think the only fighter being overhyped is Briggs...he is absolute garbage...some fool posted he was close to LEWIS in talent?????

I don't all together agree that Eastern Europeans will dominate the heavyweight scene. I definitely think there will be a steady production line of them, and I agree they'll have plenty of success, but I still think there's plenty of other poor ''hungry'' countries out there, that will produce top heavyweight boxers. Take a country like Nigeria for example, they've shown that they can produce, and while the boxers they have produced have had varying degrees of success [David Izonritei, Duncan Dokiwari, Ike Ibeabuchi, Samuel Peter, Henry Akinwande ] it still shows that there are other places in the world that do produce.
Cuba is of course another country that has produced great boxers, and although not on a professional basis, that may start to change. I don't think it will just be a Eastern European domination, I'd be suprised if that happens.Comment

The gates have been open to these other countries for a while. The iron curtain fell only 16 years ago and look at how many fighters are coming.
Who knows, you might be right. But its not like other poorer countries have/had restrictions like the Eastern Bloc and all of a sudden someone opened up the gates.
Cuba would do much damage if they ever seize to be a commie state.Comment

Sultan si a southpaw who is a couterpuncher. countering a punchs usualy are harder than normal punchs
Briggs is a guy will less stamina and throw left hooks without even setting them up.
result it would be a KO in the end rounds from SultanComment

Ibragimov is a little green and over rated. I thought he looked kinda crappy against Austin. This fights pretty even but I give the nod to Briggs based on experience.Comment
