atlas is always talking about character and being held accountable and he dogs tyson and calls him a coward. but in his book he talks about sucker punching people, holding a gun to tyson, going to sneak up on lalonde and shooting him but not going through with it and stuff like that. seems like a big hypocrit to me!! he talks down about tyson so often. always saying tyson doesnt have heart and courage. well, if thats true why dont he ask tyson to meet him in the back room alone and see who comes out and who gets carried out? then we could see what teddy is made of. If tyson did the stuff teddy atlas himself has done he would say tyson was a menace and all these bad things so how come atlas doesnt point that high powered perception at himself???

Y'know, getting off subject a bit, I wish Rooney and Tyson would write books. I mean, more so Tyson than Rooney. Considering he is hard up for cash and having lots of personal problems, maybe it would help him to finally write his autobiography. The money would more than likely be good (I know tons of peeps on here would like to get lots of the 'facts' they read on him to be straightened out) and it would definately be an interesting read (the Beyond The Glory doc was intriguing initself, imagine the same thing but even more detailed and in depth) and the time it would take to narrate the story to a collaborater would maybe keep him out of trouble (doubtful). Same with Rooney, though his would probably be much shorter than Tyson's (detailing his amatuer and professional careers and his years under Cus training Mike). I would be interested in reading either or both. What about you?Comment

Not to condone bad deeds, but alot of the fights and crimes he admits to were done as a minor. We all did dumb stuff when we were young, at least he admits it. As for the Lalonde incident, he imagined it but did not go through with it. And if someone did to a little girl relative of mine what Teddy said Tyson did, I might well have pulled the trigger, not just brandished the gun.Comment

Teddy Atlas is a smart guy and a good commentator. He held a gun to Tyson's head because Tyson sexually harassed his niece. And you guys are mad because he didn't fist-fight Tyson instead?
"Oh hey, a big ass-kicking black man who eats fighters for breakfast just came on to my niece. Even though he's much bigger than me, I think I'll challenge him to a fist-fight."

atlas already learned from the scar on his face not to physically challenge a bunch of hoodlums when he's outnumbered or outsized without a proper weapon.
tyson may have been just a teen but he was a monster. the man-child was like 200 lbs. at 12 years old, and he didn't look fat either.Comment
