He is really good. Only thing he needs to work on a bit is his defense. Put a tall heavyweight against him he is going to have problems, as he did with Lewis who hit him flush multiple times. If it wasn't for his solid chin it could have been a big KO a few times. His punching power is also great, and I think he has the most power in the division today next to his Brother.

Maskaev will be a nice warm up, and then he will KO, check it, destory Peter within 8 rounds, and then knock out the pretender Valuev.

vk comes from kickboxing i wouldnt define that as a martial art
leff, kickboxing is a martial art. my exposure to kickboxing isn't very extensive, however, i did get to see my friend who was a kickboxer literally kick the **** out of 8 to 10 guys single handedly. it was the single best street fight i have ever seen, in person, or otherwise. sounds unbelievable, i know, but you had to be there. which i was.

people forget that vitali had originally started with karate. that, i do have a couple of years experience with when i was younger.

let's not overlook the fact that they both had only days to prepare for eachother. i'm sure that is why the fight looked sloppier than usual.

Come backs are rarely a great success. Old men should retire and stay there. The only reason these sick old fools can stay on top is because there is a dearth of young talent. In any case Vitali Klitschko's match against Oleg Maskaev is not certain. The WBC is financially strapped and the last thing they need is an expensive lawsuit against Sam Peter. I think it is more probable that Klitschko will be given the option of fighting the winner of Maskaev vs. Peter.

It's not that the fighters are not good it's that noone fights anyone.
Politics is destroying the boxing world.
One belt is all we should have and a huge income if you get it, along with advertising and tv contracts, anyone who doesn't have it will get little money per fight and have to fight more often, damn would we see some classics then, hungry fighters clawing for that belt.
It's due to a bunch of old men who have no idea how to think on the next level, boxing must be pushed forward.
If they don't think on another level, boxing will eventually die.
