For me they are 2 of the best ever already! To be THE best they'd both have to beat alot more than the listed fighters, Sum guys like SRR would have killed them IMO, but 2 great fighters no ****in doubt about it and id put my house on them living with any1 in history despite what sum of the Nostalgia guys will tell u!

Mayweather needs to beat these guys if he gets past De La Hoya:

        Cotto (147 pounds)
Hatton (147 pounds, if he beats Castillo and has said he would move up to fight Mayweather)

        Winky Wright (154 pounds)
        Shane Mosley (154 pounds)

I would have loved to have seen Trinidad against Mayweather though.

Even excusing the airoplane excuse which is valid! Pep beat Sandler once and Sandler was kinda his Boogie man, u know the 1 guy who has his number? Like Forrest over Mosley for example. Anyway Sandler was really good, no shame losing to him

and that would be an evidence of what? that he was at his best after the crash?

so all fighters fight only when they are at their physical best?

he was still able to box after it and go on a huge win streak, sandy saddler was just his nightmare matchup, there is nothing more to it.

i dont even debate that saddler was a horrible style match-up for a slickster like pep. It is one of the most classics styles make fights situations I can think of (after Ali-Frazier-Foreman)

but is is just ****** to think that surviving a plane crash and spending 5 months in casts would leave any athlete, not just a boxer, the same as before.

I feel that if Mayweather beats Dlh to go down as one of the best he would have to beat:

                  1: Winky Wright
                  2: Mosely
                  3:Cotto
                  4: Hatton

If he beats these four guys and retires undeafted, he has to go down as one of the best.

                    If he beats

                    1) Winky Wright
                    2) Hatton
                    3) Mosely
                    4) Cotto

my orders a bit different than yours, but he should go down as one of the best. The same level as SRL at least i would say. But PBF hasnt had that many mathces has he? Similar to SRL's record rather than the olden day guys like SRR.

I've unearthed another one of Hugh Grant's beauties.
