Where was it, you saw him overcome adversity and beat someone?
He had to dig deep in the Lezin fight at the Olympics. His back was against the wall, it was too close on points (he thought he was losing) and he opened up and got him out of there in the fourth round.
They tried burying him after the first Williams fight, and even more so after he lost again.. and look what he did with his back against he wall, last time out.
The guy had a tough upbringing as well, but he came through.
Hey Geoff how much do you think he has left in the tank?? I hadn't realized that he is a good deal older than the Klits.
Also, you will have to remember that American fans will always think of the Guinn fight, as that was aired on ESPN, whereas he has not otherwise had much exposure here for anyone who had not downloaded his other fights. My prejudice as well was formed in the Guinn fight, and he was indeed aweful that night.

He doesn't have a young man's style and he's not in a young man's division. He's a very technical fighter and he'll press on and push for the Wlad fight after Sprott and Skelton (already set for April if he beats Sprott), better late than never he'll come through now.
As for the second paragraph, I know. American's can only judge on what they see, but don't believe **** they don't see and get quite aggressive, that's why it's always funny when a Hatton-Tszyu, Calzaghe-Lacy and Hatton-Urango happens, or a McGuigan-Pedroza, McKenzie-Canizales etc. It's also funny they didn't seem to consider Nigel Benn a particularly concussive puncher (didn't see his first 22 fights), and called Chris Eubank "Chris Whobank?" (when he had the highest global viewing figures in boxing). And how Olympic star Howard Davis called Jim Watt "Jim Who?". It's just funny stuff.
The amateurs cover up all your flaws. If you can't take a punch, hey, you have headgear. If you don't have knockout power, you don't need it. If your stamina sucks, you don't need any. Let's see Audley look good in a 12 round fight. My prediction: you won't.
This bit of fluff that I made for a gag has ELEVEN PAGES of replies?
Someone do me a favour, tell me the edited highlights. I've only read the first two pages and realised that Geoff and Audley need psychiatric help, but I can't face the rest....
