Don't you think it would be unfair to Vitali, who has already been inactive for 2 years and is not getting any younger.

Why should HE wait to get a shot at his title? Why give the honor for any immediate rematch if that was not the case?

Keep in mind... Vitali is a Champion, while Peter is a challenger.

Vitali would need at least one "tune-up fight" to prepare for Peter. Besides, I think this is more of a political decision, and a perfectly timed one at that.

.......I always had a feeling that Vitali only retired because he didn't want the fight being postponed again and he didn't want to make Rahman wait any longer. I thought it might be temporary, but then he said things to make me think it would be permanent. This now ends all specualtion and rumor and I am happy to see him back. I just hope he isn't rusty and he's ready to take his title back.
