i have pound for pound i read sugar ray robinsons autobiography already that was a good book and for someone who hatesss reading i read it realllll quick...

i bought that book along with thomas hausers bio of muhammad ali. i couldnt get myself to start that but read the part about him vs. wilt chamberlain.. ive was debating over which boxing book to read next with jack dempsey: the manassa mauler, pound for pound, smokin joe, boxings greatest stories, rocky marciano, or the sweet science
      i took the sweet science

Hey thanks Joe, I'll start with The Fight by Norman Mailer one since you recommend it as the best. I would also buy Scullies book once he publishes.

well, Ive read too many to really go into all of them. I will say, however, that "Facing Tyson" ******. It was supposed to be interviews with about 15 fighters that fought Tyson. seemed to me that it was about 6 pages per chapter and there really wasnt much of an interview or info or anything.

Basically the guy just talks about for example. How he was at the Airport, then went to holyfields house talked about inside holyfields house, talked about two questions he asked him and then how he got back home. Thanks alot pal.

Teddy Atlas's book is really good.

Atlas: From the streets to the ring; a Son's Struggle to Become a Man.

              Well worth it.

Whats the best book you read about a boxers life?

I heard Ricky Hatton's book is quite funny about his life so far.
Ive only read a handfull, Buchanan, Benn, Bruno, Marciano, Tyson and Hatton, Hattons was my fav. Im gonna get Tapia's too that should be gid!

I just got the Tapia one yesterday and the intro page was great, very deep. And it seems to be well written. Very easy to read so far.
