Miranda vs Pavlik

it is obvious to all that edison miranda has some real deal power but i just dont see what has everyone so excited about him..... when i saw the eastman fight i though to myself
"good tough kid, has the intangibles, needs quite a bit of polishing before a title fight, chin seems to be there to hit and somewhat questionable to boot"
i was not the least bit impressed by his voctory over willie gibbs, who is and has been a shot fighter since suffering a disturbing knockout loss to daniel eduard on FNF... if you had seen that fight and the god-awful way that gibbs legs responded when he was hit youd have def thought to yourself "time for this guy to retire" getting KO'ed by Miranda was just a little nest egg for him as obviously he wasnt fit to fight....
pavlik, 24 years old, is younger and more polished of the two fighters... and the guy that impresses me more of the two... if miranda couldnt get rid of arthur abraham with a broken jaw i dont think he will get rid of kelly pavlik... and unlike abraham and gibbs, pavlik is going to fight back... without a knockout miranda cannot win this fight.
very excited to see this fight being made though, two of the younger and more exciting fighters in the game today, def an action matchup which i expect the american kelly pavlik to win by a mid-round KO... securing himself a nice little HBO package.....
just curious, does anyone know if pavlik intends to remain at middle for the long haul??? it cant be easy making 160 for a guy that is approaching 6'3.Comment

Good take on the fight. I think it could go either way, but Pavlik seems to have a lot more to rely on in his arsenal. If Miranda doesn't hurt him badly at some point I can't see him winning. Anything is possible with Miranda though. He is very heavy-handed throughout.Comment

Hey ****sucker. Stop bull****ting and telling lies in order to promote Miranda. Abraham is in no condition to fight Miranda? STFU!!
Also in attendance was the IBF Middleweight Champion, Arthur Abraham. “I am in good shape right now, preparing for my return in April this year. I am ready to fight Miranda again or an other fighter that will be put in front of me,’” he commented. When asked about the main event, he noted: “I don’t think that this will pass the sixth round, and Valuev will win impressively via a knockout.”
Man u gotta stop sucking Mirandas ****!Comment

i just hope it comes off, these are the kind of matchups that need to me made more often...
it also occurs to me considering their ages (pavlik24) miranda (26) that this may be the first of a series of fights between the two, def has potential to evolve into a career long rivalry....
throw in taylor, mora, abraham and duddy.... there is a lot of young talent and good fights to be made at middle.. and super middle down the road since prob taylor, miranda, pavlik will all end up moving up in weight eventually....Comment

thats for sure, nothing much would surprise me here, this thing could end in a first round KO either way, or they could go 12 rounds beating the living crap out of each other and leave us beggin for more..

There are a lot of good middleweights out there. Hopefully someday Abraham will be able to fight again and be the same. Seems unlikely though.
I think Pavlik is an easier fight for Miranda than Allan Green. I just don't give Pavlik much credit for what he has done and see him getting floored easily. I hope the fight does happen!Comment

Read that and get it through ur head that Abraham is preparing to fight in April. Miranda doesnt want to fight him anymore because he knows he doesnt have a chance. If he couldnt stop a boxer who had a broken jaw for 8 rounds, what is he going to do this time?
Man u gotta stop sucking Mirandas ****!
Why all the hate man...Must be hard for you to see Miranda getting all this attention from HBO.
