Yes, he's past his best and he's just this side of shot; but I wouldn't say he's shot yet...not Evander Holyfield shot.

Taylor just hasn't given the impression of a world beater. The #1 should be a guy that you could see beating anyone else in the world, all things being equal. He doesn't present that picture....not at all.

WELL, THE BARRERA FIGHT, MORALES WASNT MOTIVATED AND FOR THE FIRST 6 ROUNDS OF THE FIGHT, WAS HEAD HUNTING AND GOING FOR THE KNOCK OUT, BUT HE FINISHED STRONG AND COULDVE BEEN A DRAW....

THE RAHEEM FIGHT HE UNDERESTIMATED HIS OPPONENT AND LOOKED SLOW AS HELL...

VS PAC II THE FIRST FIVE ROUNDS, HE WAS BEATING HIM 4 TO 1, AND THEN HE CMPLETELY RAN OUT OF GAS, BUT HIS HEART HOLD HIM UP..........AND YET, AT THE POST FIGHT INTERVIEW, HE SAID HE HAD BEEN TIRED OF BOXING FOR A WHILE...

THE THIRD FIGHT WITH PAC PROVED THAT HE DIDNT NEED BOXING ANYMORE, AND THAT HIS BODY WONT GIVE HIM MUCH MORE, AT LEAST AT 130 POUNDS, LOOK AT HIS LEGS, THEYRE ****ING GONE, (AND MORALES HAD GOOD FEETWORK WHEN GOING ON THE OFFENSIVE BEFORE) HE DOESNT HAVE BALANCE, HE MOVES WITH DIFFICULTY, HE EVEN JUMPED!!!!! WHEN THROWING A JAB TRYING TO REACH!!!!! HE MOVED HIS RIGHT FOOT FORWARD WHEN DOING A CROSS!!!!!!(WELL, DOING A 1-2)INNUMERABLE TIMES!!!!!

THATS WHY I CANT SAY PAC IS THE BEST, MORALES WAS ****ING SHOT!!!! AT LEAST FOR THOSE TWO FIGHTS!!!!

BARRERA PUNISHED HIM WORSE IN TH FIRST FIGHT AND STILL MORALES FOUGHT BACK, NEVER WENT DOWN, AND WORKED SO MUCH THAT I DO THINK THE DECISION WAS NOT THAT BAD

THE MORALES THAT FOUGHT BARRERA BACK THEN COULDVE WHOOPED PAC'S ASS!

How could the win over Baldomir move Floyd ahead in your rankings when that was a month before Wink beat Quartey. I'd say the Quartey victory is much more impressive don't you think? or are you going to give me the linear champion argument?

            Quartey > Baldomir easily.

              1. No need to yell.

              2. I agree with you in that Morales' desire is all but gone; but feel even the Morales that was blown out in 3 by Pacquiao could have beaten just about anyone else in the division. He is NOT completely shot.

              3. To imply that he is shot and that anyone else in the division could have done to him what Manny did is a disservice to Pacquiao. What Manny did is noteworthy. No, he did not beat up a prime Morales and no one is saying he did, however, he did beat one of the best fighters in the world and did it as if it were nothing. THAT is noteworthy.

              4. I'm not saying Manny is the best; but he's damn close. And if he keeps improving and keeps destroying top rated fighters the way he did Morales, he will surpass Floyd Mayweather Jr. if Pretty Boy doesn't keep up. If Floyd wants to hold on to his #1 slot, he can't go after any more Arturo Gattis or Shramba Mitchells.

                LOL, I got a little carried away....sorry...

I was not rying to say that Manny didnt do good because as you said, not everyone couldve beaten Morales, but i do think an elite fighter(barrera or marquez) in the division couldve made him look nearly as bad...

And I agree with you in your views about Floyd, thats why my #1 p4p is WINKY

                  No prob, bud.

...and an arguement can be made for Wright. In my opinion, Winky hasn't lost a fight since Vargas...and an arguement can be made that he didn't lose that one. He did nearly blow the second Mosley fight, though.

Anyway, I think it's safe to say the top three fightes in the world are Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Wright.....and in my opinion, Calzaghe and Hopkins round up the top 5.

well i think you're right, but i would say Winky has only lost to Vazquez(and though i confess myself a Winky nuthugger, i think he was giving Vazquez a clinic, but his inexperience got the better of him and a little of Vazquez's power too)
