When they asked Golota after the fight why he quit, he said that he felt with all the point deductions he got he didn't think the judges were going to give him the decision if it went that far. Listen, I am not making excuses for Golota's behavior in the past, he ****ed up his career by doing the ****** **** that he did in those fights. The topic is whether or not we think Golota would defeat Wlad if they fought and I believe he would because Wlad is a very fragile individual now. If he was afraid to fight inside against Williamson, he would be terrified of fighting inside against Golota because Golota punches alot harder than Davaryll.
He also said that his corner was telling him he was losing every round!!!

Everything about the TOS fight comes back to Shufford. The Shufford fight should really be mandatory viewing for everyone who thinks that Wlad looked like crap against TOS. Was Wlad also afraid to get inside against Shufford? He didn't seem afraid of fighting inside against TOS in the 4th round when he realized that he had to do something or he was going to lose the round.
Did you even see this fight???
Holyfield beat the **** out of Czyz till the fight was stopped!!! I thought Holy looked great in this fight!!!
Wow. You thought Evander looked good? he hit a blown up light heavyweight who was fat and slow with every punch in the book and never took Czyz off his feet. Who'd win the fight wasn't up for debate. It was how Evander, who was coming back after that mysterious "heart" ailmaent. The consensus was he was shot. If he didn't have enough power to drop Czyz there's no way he'd be ready for Tyson.
It's because of the Czyz fight why no one gave him a chance in the first Tyson fight. That's why when Evander did beat Tyson it was such a big upset. How can he KO Tyson and knock Tyson down but never KO Czyz?
That's what made what he ddid so remarkable.
Evander looked like **** vs. Czyz. It wasn't that he won. It was HOW he won that was at issue.
You must not know a lot about the context of the Czyz fight and must be a newbie to boxing. Any veteran boxing observer would agree with me on this.

Wrong!!! I have this fight on tape and watched it live as it happened... Czyz was complaining at the end that he couldn't see and asked the ref to check Holy's gloves!!! His eyes were all red too!!! That's why they stopped the fight but Holy gave Czyz one of the worst beatings he ever took!!!

maybe he did have a heart ailment then. to look like that, and do what he did afterward.

Uh. You' dont get it do you?
Czyz got murdered. That's not debatable. Czyz quit. That's not debatable.
But the fact was, Holyfield hit him with everything and couldn't drop him. Corrie Sanders KO'd Czyz with one punch in one round.
Therefore, logic dictated holyfield wasn't able to hurt Tyson enough to keep Tyson off of him.
I was at Tyson Holyfield I. I doubt you were actually actively wtching boxing then. The Czyz fight was not one of Evander's finer moments. He never put a Czyz on the canvas and Czyz had been on the canvas before vs. lesser fighters at much lighter weight classes.
You clearly don't understand the CONTEXT of Holyfield's performance at that time. In boxing, a win isn't a win. It's how you win. Czyz doesn't make it past one round with Tyson, Sanders, Bowe, Lewis, Moorer or any of the top heavies at that time.
Therfore, Evander's perfomance as considered by and large inadequate for an aspiring heavyweight champion. Evander wasn't at full strength or at his peak for the Czyz fight. Even he admitted that.
Go study your boxing history then come back and talk. you dont know ****

Oh ok Mrs. Butterworth. I Have been a huge boxing fan all my life and I actually picked Holy over Tyson that night and everyone said I was crazy!!! Just cause we don't agree on a fighters performance I don't know **** about boxing??? Czyz fought with heart that night!!! Holy was trying his damnedest to finish the fight as fast as possible and your right, he couldn't. It was just a matter of time though!!! Czyz wasn't just some push over, he was a former world champ at different weights!!! And according to what everyone else on this board is saying about you... You don't know ****!!!
Golata may be the best skilled fighter in the heavy weights now but thats because everyone else just sucks. He has to have one of the worst chins in the sport I have seen in a long time and how he keeps getting on big cards is beyond me
