duran ruled lightweight and welterweight. he didnt "conquer" any other division. not jr middle, not middle, and damn sure not super middle.

theres no point in moving up to a weight class that you're not comfortable in. and sometimes, you dont "work into" a weight class, sometimes its just not right for you. as is with oscar in the middleweight division and hatton with the welterweight division.

At full Weltherweight Hatton doesn't have those huge physical advantages anymore (although I think he is as strong as most of WW's). But without those huge physical advantages Hatton will continue to struggle with the WW's or very strong jrWW's.
i dont think its ALL about strength with hatton though,he is very good at getting inside, which isnt easy, that takes quite abit of boxing skill, and although he isnt a REALLY hard puncher,i think he has great punching technique, the way he punches and puts all his power into his punches is great.

like somebody said,a few good fighters at welter arent natural welterweights, floyd would kill him with pure speed and boxing technique, but i dont think strength would be an issue if they met at 147 (which i dont see happening anyway),i actually would see hatton over powering floyd if he got the chance, same with judah.

but i just wasted my time typing that, cause i do still agree he should stay at 140 lol

        LOL

COME ON.You get mad at people who say he got whooped at 147,but you say hes damn near ****ing unbeatable at 140? get real dude, youre not going to get a serious boxing discussion going with that kind of talk.

He could AT LEAST beat floyd and cotto?!

why would any of them go down to 140 ??? ... they wouldnt ...! at least not mosley or mayweather... (which are the biggest names)

and even if they did ... they would **** hatton up ... people kill me that even give hatton have a chance...

            he got rocked by collazo...

come on man, shane would knock him out
and floyd would embarass him horribly ...

Exactly, everyone you see Hatton beating would be overpowering. Even agaisnt Castillo everyone thinks he wins overpowering and over working.

I'm not saying just strength but also his work rate, power and the tenacious pace he sets. But look at the biggest fight of his career, Tzu. He used all physical attributes to defeat him. You can't say Hatton used more skill than Tzu, it was a mugging that fight. Hatton used a game plan that utilized his physical attributes.

You can't tell me that Hatton is out boxing anyone other top jrWW or WW (a washed up Ben Tackie doesn't count).
