Want to know what will happen when Hatton and Mayweather meet?...watch a tape of Gatti/Mayweather.
No because Gatti and Ricky are too completely different fighters, sure there similar in some ways but to say Hatton/Floyd would go like that is just ludicrous

      Not a chance.

      Floyd will be doing this.

Gatti has no defense and his ring smarts go out the window as soon as he gets hit with a clear shot, Hatton's stronger.. faster, mixes his punches alot better and as Geoff would say.. he's alot more polished.

Yeah ok. Your boy went down to 140. If they do fight it will have to be at 147

No i would say more like Donald Curry and Lloyd Honeyghan. Gatti was absolutely rubbish and they say Hatton would be as bad as Gatti.

I take it you will be picking Floyd at 147.

Hatton's trainer said they would take that fight.

When the time comes I'll take 50,000 on Hatton if you're interested.

Was that the fight where Hatton won? That's an interesting summary.

Want to know what will happen when Hatton and Mayweather meet?...watch a tape of Gatti/Mayweather.
Because Gatti is the same fighter as Hatton? That doesn't make sense. Gatti is more of an outside boxer than Hatton and a more concussive puncher (not to mention shot to pieces after half a dozen or so real wars), Hatton is more of a non-stop pressure machine. Gatti never really had a prayer against Mayweather, but Hatton is tougher (at time of writing - Noone can deny Gatti's toughness but his tremendous battles took something out of him), faster and stronger. Not to mention has a completely dfferent style.

I find it amazing how hard some people find it to give Ricky his dues. He's a good fighter, the linear light welterweight champion, beat an all time great, beat a fully blown welter champ on his american debut, and is 41-0.

I think Floyd would beat him but I think it would be a long, tough, close fight.

No doubt. It has all the makings of a classic.

These fighters should have each other for the sake of their legacy's.

                    Hopefully they build good momentum toward a showdown;

                    and do the damn thing.

I know...... why all the negative feelings towards someone who hasnt been beaten? If Hatton had of lost a couple of fights people wouldnt even talk this **** about him, so how can u talk **** about someone who hasnt lost?
And PBF and Hatton shouldnt only box each other once. I am assuming this match wont be a draw and someone is going to win. So there needs a rematch and then a 3rd and final fight decider. Like Ali and Frasier.
