Fight fans everywhere will buy this PPV there is no doubt but when this fight was signed they were talking about it being the all time PPV buy king.

In order for you to be the all time king you have to attract sports fans that have never bought a PPV card before or havent seen a boxing match in years...you dont break records by just getting your base to order.

If Floyd Senior trains Oscar this will be a huge piece of the marketing and I believe it will give this fight a shot at being special when they add up the PPV buys at the end of the day.

Yes this fight is going to be huge and do outstanding in terms of PPV dollars but in my mind it needs the Father/Son element to have a shot at 1.9 million buys.

"He didn't start looking sensational until he got with me. I know my job too well, and I'm not ******, either. I have the blueprint for this fight. What other coach is he going to find to beat little Floyd? But it's his money and his call."
No **** This ****i'n old man is getting really desperate. After this statement, I would love see DLH kick his ass out of his training camp.

Or DLH can make a side agreement that if he loses, PBF Sr. will pay hiim back double, $4 Mil. How's that?

Sure will it do a million PPV buys and be the biggest event since Tyson v. Lewis...yes it will but if you add this father son element to the whole thing then you are taking potential record breaking PPV numbers which was the fights original hope or expectation.

I want to see Floyd Senior in Oscar's corner, the drama would be out of this world and if you couple the drama with the passion senior has to beat his son and then on top of that the out of this world ppv numbers that could come about off of the whole father son thing Senior is worth every ****ing penny!
Oh, wow. I can't agree. Cannot agree at all.

You're saying there are LOTS of people who won't buy this fight unless Floyd Mayweather Sr. is Oscar's trainer?.................

The point is not that people will cite Big Floyd as the reason for buying it, but that the family angle will be the topic of a few extra specials on ESPN, Fox, ect., which will ultimately result in increased buys

I could buy that I guess.

I'm just not sure it would make the difference for people spending $50.

It should add something, though.. I just disagree with the notion that like millions more will tune in sctrictly for the "Jerry Springer" angle..

Point taken though. It will get much more hype - you're right KayJay.

              Right on Kayjay right on.

If Floyd Senior is in Oscar's corner you are going to have some dip**** in accounting who has never even seen Oscar or Floyd fight coming up to you two weeks before the fight asking about it.

It will be a key peice in the marketing strategy, a piece that will certainly attract folks who havent watched a big prize fight in years!

You will have all sorts of media outlets giving it a minute of their time in the buildup simply because the father/son situation is so unique.

I agree. I'm looking to see how this develops.

Oscar better get Floyd Sr, if he really knows what he's talking about. I still don't think he would beat Floyd but Sr would help a lot I'm sure.
