Oscar is a American before he is Mexican. He is a American of Mexican heritage... he is not Mexican because he was not born in Mexico. Just like I was not born in Guatemala so I am American of Guatemalan decent. This doesn't mean you cant be proud of your heritage but I would not raise the Guatemalan flag before the American one... Oscar doesn't either he acknowledges both.. and he himself doesn't consider himself Mexican but Mexican American.. A dumb ass who raises the Mexican flag before the American one is Fernando Vargas...but he forgets where he is from and where he grew up!

Legaly Oscar is Mexican too, in 1998 he nacionalizated mexican, he has mexican blood, walk with the mexican flag in the arena, his parents and grand parents and uncles all his family is mexican... I think he is mexican, son of inmigrants.

Thats a lousy example carnal. Being proud of your heritage and raising a mexican flag doesnt mean your a dumbass. Vargas has mexican blood therefore is a mexican...but a mexican living in the US. Nothing wrong with raising the mexican flag and btw he doesnt forget he was born in California.

nah dude you did not understand what I said...when Oscar raises the Mexican Flag he has the American one right by it.. When Fernando Vargas enters the ring there is no sign of a American flag just the Mexican Flag and the Mexican colored trunks. Like K-Dogg said being American is pretty much being a mutt. Its great to honor your heritage and all but you must also remember where your from.
