I think that article is pretty ****ing ******.

Peter tried virtually everything to make a fight out of it, and Toney absorbed a tremendous amount of punishment. I guess he missed the huge right hands Toney was landing....and the flurries Peter was throwing.

Did that ****ing guy even watch the fight?

Both of them performed poorly? Admit it, you did not see this fight.

          Yeah, that's another thing.

Where did this "performance" bull**** come from. What I saw was Peter actually using his jab frequently, and beating Toney to the jab consistently.......something few have ever done. Peter wasn't the least bit afraid to exchange, and he sought exchanges while getting tagged. His willingness to fight IS WHY HE WON THE DAMN FIGHT.

I just can't get over how ****ing dumb the author is.

Is this what we should expect from Samuel Peter from here on in? Is his goal to make it through twelve rounds and put the fight in other people’s hands? I hope not.

That's the ******est ****ing quote I've ever read.

Very bad article. I think Peter surpassed my expectations, and Toney did about all he could do. He landed a lot of power shots throughout the fight. He was trying his hardest to atleast mark Peter up, but Peter didnt budge.

I will admit I saw the fight and I will also admit that I am old enough to have a clear memory of the Ali vs. Frazier trilogy. Compare them and you will see there is no comparison whatsoever. Should we expect Toney and Peter to perform like Ali and Frazier? Performance is improving in every other sport, why not boxing?

Why would you expect Toney to perform like Ali and Peter to perform like Frazier? and did you write this article?

how did you not find this fight entertaining considering the HW division for the last few years has been like a pile of **** with boring fights, now since 2006 were having some entertaining fights in the division but no one appreciates it

I remember the heavyweight division as it once was and should be today. James Toney might be old and fat and unwilling to commit to serious training, nevertheless Sam Peter does not have to follow his example. Remember Tua and Ibeabuchi? That is the level of fitness and performance Peter should be aspiring to, and that we should expect.

your clearly asking for too much here. were talking a powerful but crude fighter in peter and a 38 yr old former middleweight defensive specialist in toney,,,now did you actually think the fight could be better? it clearly surpassed expectations. be thankful for what you got
