Boxing is an artform, no doubt about that, but its a different story when they're not in the ring. Didn't Ricky just get his watch stolen by a couple Asian guys? Being a professional boxer didn't help him too much there did it? I would never compare myself to a professional boxer in the ring, but outside I don't think anyone here would be sweating Ricky Hatton if he walked in the room. I'm not trying to sound like some tough guy, but are you scared of someone half a foot shorter and 70 pounds lighter than you?
C'mon Hatton wasnt going to do something silly before a boxing match and get potentially injured for the sake of a watch now is he? Lets be reasonable here. Those shanghai dudes carry meatcleavers in their trouser pockets dont they or something like that. Hatton can afford another watch i am sure of that.
Dont underestimate Hatton at 5ft6inch or so being able to take care of himself out of the ring though as well as in the ring. Their are lots of 6ft+ boxers who wouldnt get in the ring with him. And many 6ft+ people who wouldnt dare mug him without a gang or a knife handy.

"Castillo is not the last big name I want to meet and beat because there will be a couple more fights and when they are over I'll be ready to pack my bags and walk away."

Mayweather remains top of his list.

But he doesn't rule out fights with Corrales, Cotto, Collazo, or Witter.

Mayweather will be a ringside guest next week, and said "I'm looking forward to getting an up close and personal look at Hatton so that I can make my mind up."
That's good to hear. I'd like to see someone do that.

I appreciate his efforts. He's a good man Ricky Hatton.

              Great fighter as well.

Does anybody here believe Hatton could beat Mayweather or Cotto at 147?

                    We've both stated the truth.

I think its the amount of heart hes got which makes him different from other boxers. for instance Floyds got the skills, but i wouldn't ever say he's got as much heart as Hatton.
