I'm not saying that all american fighters are inferior to their european counter parts, but there have been plenty of occasions on which American fighters have been exposed by europeans after fighting on their own turf against other yanks for years.

American judges and fight fans in general believe that aggression should be rewarded, regardless of whether or not it is effective, just look at that prick who gave barrios the nod against guzman. Miranda was pushing abraham back for most of the fight, but very few of his punches were landing.
There were alot of lacy fans before march 4rd aswell, including all of those franchises you just mentioned, and it meant **** all. If i can remember correctly, half of the "expert" American writers went for a lacy victory without even watching a tape of calzaghe. "Exposed" is what happens to wild-swinging hype jobs against skilled boxers. Sometimes a knockout artist can be exciting, but too often they are the victims of unwarranted enthusiasm. I don't see this as a nationalistic thing at all. Most of the same people who back Miranda also think Margarito has a chance at beating Mayweather. They were also Lacy fans. There's nothing wrong with these people, and they're some of my favorite posters. I worry for them in the case of Miranda though because it appeared to me that Miranda-Abraham was a clear technical mismatch, maybe not on the level of a Mayorga-De La Hoya or Lacy-Calzaghe, but close. (How many of those same posters gave Mayorga a shot last May?)

I thought mayorga was going to pull it off simply due to oscar's inactivity, but i always new if the real de la hoya showed up he wouldn't stand a chance.
