Dont know about the dirtiest in recent history but the ref didnt take control of the fight, the heads were dangerously close, rabbit punches, lots of holding/pushing and low blows. Both fighters guilty though.

I love how boxers can remain poker faced as if they cant feel pain. You wouldnt have imagined Kostya was in any discomfort, but he obviously was. He could have kept on his bike for the last round, but he could have got damaged so maybe it was the right decision to quit.

Tzu had tons of trouble making weight that compounded by the pace Hatton dictated and Tzu's age were factors.

Not to mention that it was an extremely dirty fight with blatant low blow's, spinning and hitting behind the head, grabbing and hitting. All those things added to Tzu saying no more.

I think he did the right thing, from what iv heard he suffered a blood clot to the brain, and who knows the last round could of been life ending.

it makes me laugh everyytime this fight gets brought up on this forum because verybody talks as if ricky was the only quilty person in that ring.
kostya was using his own rough house tactics and spoiling tactics on the inside and 2 low blows (blatant or not your gonna get one back in the in end) also dave paris just adds to this because if he started warning both fighters they both would of been forced to clean up the fight but ricky shouldnt have to carry the burden over this fight but at the end of the day its a big win for ricky , a carear defining fight. stop bringing the age into it im sure that year if hatton outclassed gatti and mayweather out hustled tszyu the same way hatton did mayweather would get every credit in the world for adjusting hes game to grind out the win

Theres certain fighters that if they had have quit in the situation I would have called them all kinds of bitches but Tszyu is not one of em. I actually had never heard about the blood clot before but I would believe it Tszyu was a warrior and if he quits that close to the end in a close fight I believe something was wrong. AND " im sure that year if hatton outclassed gatti and mayweather out hustled tszyu the same way hatton did mayweather would get every credit in the world for adjusting hes game to grind out the win " WTF?!?!?!? Since when does Mayweather get any credit for beating anyone?
