he quit because he didn't feel right in the head- and in case anybody forgot they actually found out that his brain had bled a little that night and if the fight had continued it could have been disastrous for kostya. thats the kind of thing you don't **** around with, kostya was smart and lucky that he knew his body well enough to know that something was very wrong.

kostya is not a "*****" and anybody who says he is doesn't understand the definition of respect and should not post. if you can't respect one of the most respectable fighters of a generation- then your opinion is not worth hearing or reading.

This was one of the dirtiest fights ever. Man , Hatton really roughted up Kostya and Kostya is one tough ****er.

Tszyu was breathing heavily in the 11th.round, and one more round may proved disastrious for kostya, it can be a career ending, besides eddie futch wouldnt let joe frazier come out in the 15th.round vs ali in thrilla in manila, great job by Tszyu's cornerman not to allow their man to further continue.

I died alittle that night, I knew for sure Hatton was gonna get knocked out. It was badass seeing THE Kostya Tszyu walk into MEN arena. I couldnt beleive he QUIT, it was close and he quit unbeleivable.

My favorite memory of the fight was Tszyu getting warned for the low blow, then Hatton throwing a blatant low blow in return immediately, right in front of the ref, knowing that he wouldn't be penalized because there wasn't a point deduction when Kostya did it...

I watched this fight again today, cant believe how much energy Kostya wasted in the first 5 rounds trying to beat Ricky at his own game by overpowering him.Nobody at that weight is gunner out muscle Hatton.
Kostya did better from rounds 6-9 but he was spent after that imo.I personally had Hatton 2 points up when Tszyu decided he'd had enough,i thought Tszyu had another 3 mins left in him but to be fair as some of the other posters pointed out,1 more round could have been fatal.
Good fight but very scrappy and untidy.

Dirtiest fight I can remember in recent history, the only other fight I can think of that was even close to this level was that BHop fight a few years back, but in that fight everyone was getting warned
