I doubt it. He announced retirement, so that pretty much means vacated title. But that would bring some importance to this otherwise meaningless bout.

it's a ****** fight for bernard hopkins. right now he got everything too loose and nothing too win, because he want get much credit if he beats roy jones. But roy jones has everything too win if he beats hopkins.
i don't like this fight too, because if roy jones win it would hurt a bit hopkins legacy, and if roy losses it's the end for him

Hopkins just wants to get that W and humble Roy. My guess is Roy pusses out and doesn't take the fight.

Our sport is great and the casual fan out there needs to be exposed to the great fights, they dont need to be exposed to this fundraising garbage-it just kills our sport.

Do you understand the point Im making.
I understand what you are saying, but I want to see it and will not pay for it either. Can anyone say Lil' Hopkins?

Your right when you say that Adamek and Dawson is not something that interests the casual fan but that is EXACTLY the type of fight you should be telling you friends about who dont normally watch boxiing. Chad Dawson and Tomaz Adamek will make fans for life if they are given a chance-this is one of the best fights of the year and a fight where both men are taking huge risks-if you love boxing you should sell it to your freinds who are skeptical-this is a fight that should be pumped up!

Your right about network television, I truly believe Golden Boy will make it happen one day. Funny htough-on the other hand Golden Boy who has done some amazing things is going to shove Hopkins v. Jones 2 down our throats for $50...I believe it is one of those things that "has to get worse before it gets better" (Nard v. Jones defines worse)
Nah, I get what you're saying. But I dunno about where you're at, but particularly here, I could tell people how they should shell out money for a fight and ignore a fight with well known fighters, and they just wont do it (unless of course I buy it and they all come over). And I say here in particular, because sports fans in general here in miami, are less fanatics and more about what the latest and hottest things is. And once that cools off, they are climbing over each other to jump off the bandwagon.
But that's besides the point; I know what you are getting at, and I agree with you to a degree...but getting fans to ignore the overhyped fights and watch the fights that us as boxing fans REALLY want to see.

I got a couple of guys that I use; one or two from this site in particular. Another guy I use includes snapcases with artwork, which is cool. I usually use him to add to my fight career sets. He has lots of MMA and less boxing lately.
