Holyfield vs. Tyson I (WTF Happened?..)

I watched this fight again recently. I've seen it about 50 times.

This most recent viewing was different however.

I had just finished watching dozens of other Tyson fights.

What struck me as incredibly odd this time - was that Tyson was not lethargic, Tyson was not unfocused, and Tyson was landing some VERY heavy shots on Holyfield. Evander was taking Tyson KO punches no problem.

Mainly, I'm wondering what kind of **** Evander was on that night. I know he wore Mike down to win.

But how was Evander taking those ****ing shots!?!?!

Oh, and regarding that particular Tyson era:

Remember that grazing punch he landed on Seldon?

He still had ALL his pop.

his mentallity. He was thinking that he could win no matter what. I have an idea of what his mind was like. If he could beat the baddest man on the planet then that only means that he was stronger

The thing was that Holyfield was obsessed with beating Tyson his whole boxing career and has said so himself . He admitted that he felt if he had lost to Tyson then he would have fell dramatically in the eyes of fans and would not be seen as a great fighter in history . True or not this is what he had said about the fight .

                    Even Tyson said:

"I don't even know how he beat me.."
