It was ruled a knockdown, replayed easily showed Manny landed a punch, Barrera stepped on his foot and he fell down. Barrera didn't even touch him in the process. Not that it mattered in the end, just something worth noting.

Evander Holyfield is the MAN, and lots of people talk **** about him now especially since he is still fighting., but the guy is a CRUSIERWEIGHT who beat Qawi then MOVED UP and beat Buster Douglas, George Foreman, Larry Holmes, Rid**** Bowe, Michael Moorer, Ray Mercer, Mike Tyson, John Ruiz, Hashim Rahman, Fres Oquendo and in my opinion beat Lewis in the rematch and survived 24 rounds with him. All of them were bigger than him and in every fight he laid it all out and traded with them. Half of those fights he was well past his prime, he also stepped in with Lewis, Toney, Byrd. Holyfield has fought every meaningful heavyweight of the past 15 years and beat most of them. He is a warrior and demands respect and if he wants to fight until he is 78 he has earned the right to do in that ring whatever the **** he wants to do.

Holyfield should be fighting until 108!!!

Yes, I wasn't aguing that. It's always the ref's call though I was assuming you mentioned that as I mentioned Manny's lack of defense. So I was just in defense saying it wasn't Manny's lack of defense that caused him to go down since he wasn't tagged at all.

my name says it all......he might not have great punching power but is in every fight has the heart to challenge everyone and is one of the greates technical boxers of his era....... and will beat DE LA ass when they meet! Not much to defend really, his record and accomplishments speak for themselves and he is still not as respected as he should be.
