I love how after a fight.... Half the FORUM dissapears for awhile...
That guy deserves to come on and eat his crow... But he wont ..some people can never admit they are wrong.. I suspect lightsout.. especialy being 57 years old.. will be too stubborn to take his medicine..Comment

lol achilles was right on about this one. Toney is a better boxer but he cannot fight the full 12 hes always conserving and a young guy like peter wins on pure activity and ability to take flush power punches without blinkingComment

People have a difference of opinion on almost every fight on this forum but to me its pretty classless and immature to act like everyone who thought this fight would be closer to a repeat of the first fight and if Toney was in shape as he was supposedly odds would favor Toney! I definetely predicted this fight wrong in 3 major areas:
1. Sam Peter showed a lot of improvement, Technique better, conditioning better, Finally a legit heavyweight contender!
2. As reported JT was in good shape if not still too heavy, Not! He may have been just slightly in better condition but he still gassed
3. JT has still got it! It just looks like his legs are gone and his movement was awful, that to me was the big difference. How many times did Toney punch get out of position and not move before he was made to pay.
I won't concede that Toney isnt one of the best middle weight and up fighters of recent times
and I defintely aint tuckin my tail and runnin cause I wasnt right about something
Kid, you should consider yourself vindicated for being so far off on the first fight, but to start these I told you so threads, what are you like your 12?

Because I predicted it exactly as it would go, right down to Peter having figured Toney out and being the superior strategist in the fight. Everyone thought he'd come out the same but I knew he'd change his strategy. I knew he'd work on what he had to, come to fight in better shape, and show the world what he can do.
As for me behaving like a 12 year old, that's the way most of the posters here are and I spent my first year and a half on the forum being the mature one and eventually I just got sick of it. If someone is thumbing your eye and butting you in the clinches, and the ref isn't noticing, eventually you reach a point where you gotta break out the dirty **** yourself you know?Comment

okay, Peter was NOT the superior strategist in the fight... lol Toney has far superior boxing skills. Toney is just old, his legs are going, he gassed out. An unskillful very strong guy can beat toney with pure activity... thats all it was, pure activity. A guy whos turning pro at my gym was saying u can be the best boxer, but if someone whos strong who keeps coming forward throwing punch after punch, he will beat you.Comment
