I know, this is a fight that gives me chills a little cuz Bautista is a great talent, but is he really ready? I'm not sure, I'm not comfortable with this matchup really. I feel good about Gorres, though.

Relax dude Bautista has the style to beat De Leon.

Ponce has a very crude fighting style with all punches coming from the outside. This being said all Bautista has to do is not to get caught with those punches because the guy has some serious power.

I can see Gorrez having more problem with the sleekier Montiel.

Nothing to worry about. If Bautista can't beat a guy that only has power with sub par boxing skills at this stage of his career than he aint never gonna be ready. No doubt De Leon has more experience but its now or never. I think he can handle it.

As I said that's gonna be a career defining fight. And it's now or never baby!

I too believe that now is the time for Bautista to bite the bullet.

Ponce De Leon has a reputation. He's the type of champion that Bautista should face and not some lesser known title holder. De Leon is dreaded because of his big punch, but he is not the most skilled champ of the division. Bautistat has the better skills and the quicker hands.

If Bautista proves that he's able to take De Leon's best shots, he can win big and his reputation worldwide shall shoot through the roof.

Bautista has nothing to lose and everything to gain in this fight. Even if he loses, he still gains experience and maybe will make him smarter. Getting that first loss in this early stage of his career will remove the extra pressure of maintaining a perfect record thus giving him more space to experiment and might propell him to improve more.

But then again I'm confident that he'll get the victory on this fight.

I think he better get away from those shots buddy. I saw de leon knocked that thai out the last time and thought he(thai) died instantly lol. On the other hand, boom boom was KDed by a not so powerful shot by
Espinoza i the 2nd round which made many people suspect bautista's chin and his ability to take a big punch.

You said it, pal. "...everything to gain."

He should stay away as much as possible, pal, and I agree. But, he cannot stay away all the time. Somehow, he's gonna get hit. If he proves able to take the hit, then, he's in business.

Actually, I do not gauge Bautista's chin on that KD in the hands of Espinoza. I think he has better chin than that episode tends to show.

I always remind myself that Ali was kd'd by lesser punchers than Foreman and Liston, but he took what Foreman and Liston had. Frazier's left hook too.

As for Bautista's heart, I remind myself too of that story told about the time when he was a lot younger, he walked home several miles with a sharp bamboo stick stuck to his bleeding head. If that's not "heart", then, I don't have a clue what heart is, pal.
