He was clearly off balance. The shot was not even a powerful jab and it didn't land flush, either. It just pushed him down with a punch because of the position of his feet at the time. Toney was caught shifting.

Of course, he was off balance because he's too fat, but he didn't have his feet set. If Toney was at 220 or less, he'd have been able to move around better and set his feet. As it is, he's a damn cow and we know how easy it is to go cow tipping.

He squared up with Peters, then leaned back to avoid the jabs, he was off balance

Toney was squared up and a succession of jabs connected to his head. When someone has their feet squared up, they are far easier to put down. No discussion warranted.

Nice to see Peter circling and putting that jab out there.

He was cleanly tagged and went down, and it was from a punch and not a push. Knockdown.

Sure it was a knockdown, but toney only fell because he stood off balance.
Watch the damn fight, then you see it from a different angle.
Toney took some good righthands without falling, why should a simple tap knock him down, if he was not off balance.
Btw I'm happy i wont see Toney again in an important fight.

Oh it was definitely because he was off balance but the same can be said for the Marciano knockdown in the Archie Moore fight and many knockdowns in boxing history.
