He had to strength to tire Peter.

Wlad Vs. Peter rematch will be exactly the same, cept Wlad will send a few hard rights down the pipe once in a while.
I agree, I thought wlad was afwul in there first fight. he fought timid and let peter off the hook way too many times and still managed to win the fight

        Peter defeats Toney again!
By Matt Cleary and Stephen Roche at ringside
Heavyweight Samuel Peter (28-1, 22 KOs) proved his previous win over James Toney (69-6-3, 43 KOs) last September wasn't a fluke as he won a wide unanimous decision over Toney on Saturday night at the Seminole Hard Rock LIVE Arena in Hollywood, FL. Peter staggered Toney in round one and floored him with a jab in round two. Toney connected with some flush right hands in the third. Good two-way action at the end of round four. Peter landed the most meaninful punches in the fifth as Toney's left eye began to close. Peter continued to punish Toney as the bout progressed, but the tough Toney continued to battle to the end. Peter ultimately prevailed by scores of 119-108, 118-110, 118-110. With the win, Peter earned a shot at WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev.

        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Undefeated "WBA champion in recess" Travis Simms (25-0, 19 KOs) dethroned current WBA super welterweight titlist Jose Antonio Rivera (38-5-1, 24 KOs) with a dominating ninth round TKO. In round two, Simms bloodied Rivera's nose and was credited with a knockdown when Rivera fell into the ropes. After that, Simms went on to pound Rivera in every round, finally dropping Rivera again in the ninth before the one-sided affair was halted by referee Frank Santore Jr. at 2:00.
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Former IBF jr middleweight champion Roman "Made In Hell" Karmazin (35-2-1, 22 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over James Obede Toney (21-3-1, 19 KOs) in a middleweight clash. Karmazin broke open a competitive fight in the fouth round by flooring Toney, then teeing off on Toney to get the stoppage at 2:05. Toney, who hails from Ghana, is no relation to his heavyweight namesake fighting in the main event.
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Former #1 cruiserweight contender Guillermo "El Felino" Jones (34-3-2, 27 KOs) returned from a 15 month layoff to demolish Jeremy Bates (21-13-1, 18 KOs) in round one of a bout fought in the heavyweight division. Jones dropped Bates then nearly decapitated him with a right hand to end it at 1:44.
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unbeaten heavyweight Bermane "B-Ware" Stiverne (9-0, 9 KOs) needed just 1:48 to take down Otis Mills (5-3-1, 3 KOs).
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heavyweight Javier Mora (21-3-1, 17 KOs) won an uneventful six-round unanimous nod over Earl Ladson (12-13-1, 7 KOs) by scores of 58-56, 59-55, 59-55.
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unbeaten welterweight Devon Alexander (10-0, 5 KOs) scored a fourth round stoppage of Maximino Cuevas (9-5, 5 KOs). Time was 2:02.
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Female super middleweight Laura Ramsey (7-2, 3 KOs) dropped the much-hyped Ijeoma Egbunine (12-2, 8 KOs) three times in the first round to score a shock KO at 1:44.
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lightweight Anges Adjaho (15-0, 8 KOs) outpointed Armando Cordoba (23-32-2, 17 KOs) over six. Scores: 60-54, 58-56, 58-56.

You Toney nutt huggers are unbelieveable. So you applaud a man coming in overweight and not ready to go all 12 rounds? He never got himself in condition for the fight and came in to collect a check. Yet you turn a blind eye. I can't even believe you consider yourself a boxing fan

            Thank you.

Everyone knows Peter for his Wlad fight. Were Wlad just killed his offence.

Besides the frist Toney fight Peter had wide open shots at Toney, he was just so damn fat and slow that he missed 80% of his point blank shots.

This fight it seems he started aiming, when last he just threw and missed everythinng.

.....Toney needs to call it a career. And what a career it was. He looked old as hell and badly beaten tonight. He needs to take what little brains he has and whats left of his coherent speach(which isn't much) and kick back and enjoy life outside of the brutal sport of boxing.

Toney was and is a great fighter. He's kind of an *******, or at least his public persona is. It's pretty hard to disregard his skills and accomplishments. The nut huggers are one extreme, and you are the other. Both wrong in their own way.
