    Ken Norton beat Ali twice. Some people think he should actually be 3-0 against the greatest. That, and the fact that he beat a lot of good contenders in probably the best heavyweight era ever gets him his respect. Oh, and that unbelievable war with a prime Larry Holmes that he lost by a hair (the 15th round is one of the greatest in heavyweight championship history) also helps.

    For these reasons, Norton is in the hall, and probably deserves it, though he was never really champ.

    The Hall has many guys who never wore the world title.

      He's good against pure boxers, put him against a slugger, different story.
