I read Benn held the record for consecutive 10-count's - 11 (and he did that inside nine months).
And I read John Mugabi holds the record for longest stoppage streak (26), and they were his first 26 fights..
But this LaMar guy, he eclipses both?Comment

Jesus Pimental is second I believe and had a longer knockout streak than both of those. Moorer and Alex Stewart both had long kayo streaks also. Just checked Stewart kayo streak was 25 till he fought Holyfield.Last edited by BuddyChacon; 01-03-2007, 10:59 AM.Comment

Geoff, if that is true about Benn then I imagine his record is pretty safe, at least as far as Lamar Clark is concerned. Some people might look at those "KO" listings and think he ten counted all those guys, but then again, those same people are probably not aware that a "TKO" listed on a fighter's record is a relative new thing (remember those old KO Magazine pinups when they first came around, with the fighters record on the back...all stoppages were listed as KO's) that has only come to be in the last 20 years or so...Originally posted by GEOFFHAYESI read Benn held the record for consecutive 10-count's - 11 (and he did that inside nine months).

Unless somebody has gone back and researched Clark's bout-by-bout career since then, which I doubt, it's likely that his record was just brought forth from an old listing...
"There simply isn't such a thing as a technical knockout and THE RING, in making up its records, and in printing them for our readers monthly, take cognizance of that point and record it as a K.O." - Nat Fleischer
Clark would have bettered Mugabi, and also, if I'm not mistaken, I think Billy Fox has the record for consecutive KO's/TKO's to begin a career.Comment
