Oscar's punching power hasn't been anything special for this entire decade.
He dropped an already battered (& damaged by Trinidad already) Vargas with a hook, & then takes out a human punching bag (another Tito-battered foe) in Mayorga.
Aside from those two fights, where's this power some of you are talking about ?

Floyd Mayweather nullifies his foes' punching power, no matter who they are. By being so hard to hit, & so effective on the counters.....he forces the foe to think too much, therefore reducing their offense.
Oscar will not be landing any big left hooks. If you're banking on the the one-punch turnaraound, you're wasting your time.

I guess the question is whether DLH can catch Mayweather with the hook and I'm sure Mayweather will be as careful as he can not to get caught.

The only way DLH will land it clean, is if Floyd starts letting his hands go recklessly and he gets countered with it.

I don't see Floyd doing that in the biggest fight of his life.

Excellent point!!! Oscar stil has one of the best and stiffest jabs in boxing and if he gets it going and sticks with it, Mayweather will definately be in trouble. If floyd tries to stand outside and jab with Oscar he will lose that battle. Mayweather doesn't even really use a jab much and if he chooses to stand and jab with Oscar he will be in trouble.

How much of an agressor will Oscar be? This is a question that interests me, and if he is the agressor how long do his legs allow him to do so?

With Mosley Oscar approached that fight wrong. He beleived he was the bigger guy and tried to just slug it out with him instead of moving and boxing. Also Mosey had the speed but also had power that Mayweather does not have. Oscar won't make the same mistake against Floyd. Oscar is smart and between him and Mayweather Sr. I'm sure they will come up with a a controlled gameplan and will fight a smart fight. I think having Mayweather Sr. will be more of a factor than people think.

If you want to talk about someone not having power, we should be talking about Mayweather. Floyd has never faced anyone with Oscar skill and technical ability, and if he thinks he is just gonna go in there and cruz to an easy decision he is gonna have a rude awakening along with his fans.

The hook is the easiest shot to block, just keep the riight up all night.
