Why did James Toney started his diet a month ago??

I don't think this was a very smart move by Toney, you don't start a diet of 1500 calories and working out for 7 hours a day a month before the fight.

I think when you start eating 1500 calories and working out for 7 hours a day a month before the fight, it can hurt you! Diet like this can make you weak during the fight, I do have a problem with Toney starting his diet a month before the fight, he should've started his diet at least 3 months ago, you need a good month to get your energy back, not start your diet!

You may be right. But i dont' know about diets, but you're making sense that im going to aggree with you, lol. No but seriously. Remember how great Rid**** Bowe looked in his second fight with Golata? He was on a strick diet and he really slimed down like never before and he fought real weak that night.

Toney is a long time pro, has plenty of fat reserves, and is working with a professional. He knows what he is doing and he will be just fine.

Toney weighed 223 a few days ago according to reports. That is an obvious sign that he is not overdoing it.

Yea but you can't lose more then that in a months time, it's not just the diet, he's also working out for 7 hours a day + boxing training.

I saw Toney's interview a month ago, I bet he was close to 250 a month a ago.

We don't know how much exactly he weighed before camp. It's hard to say.

Plus, those "7 hour workouts" could consist of many light workouts and breaks. Toney is a pro. He will not overwork himself. It's not in his genes to do so.

If Toney comes in too light he may get tko'd. In there first fight Peters really stunned Toney a few times. Peters needs to come in the fight in shape too, he came into the fight heavy then he should have.

So you thinks it's OK to start eating 1500 calories and working out 7 hours a day + boxing training a month before the fight??

Trust me I've worked out like this years ago and it takes alot out of you.

Yea Peter Stunned Toney with a punch to the temple which would've knocked out anyone, when you get punched where Toney got hit, it's usually goodnight!
