There are some guys with heavier hands, I think Brewster was heavier handed (I don't know if he'll ever be the same though), Briggs for the first few rounds is probably one of the biggest punchers.

So what I'm getting out of reading these posts is that, in the eyes of many, Samuel Peter is the hardest puncher in the heavyweight division and also has the best chin. So...he hits the hardest and can take the hardest punches. In other words, you must be heralding him as the savior of the division? Is that what is being said here?

I think Brwester power is very overrated, both peter and Wlad hits harder then Brwester.

Wlad is a big puncher. He routinely does things to fighters with his power that had never been done to them previously.

Its getting out of hand now "He could'nt knock out a Super middleweight" etc... James Toney has one of the best chins and lets just put it to that, A fighter like Toney could fight for decades without being hurt because of his style, his defense is great, hardly gets hit, and when he gets hit he takes it flush without being hurt.

Bernard Hopkins and James Toney are just those kind of fighters who can not be knocked out because of their chin, defense, and ring intelligence. very smart fighters.

I think peter's power is overrated but I dont fault him for not being able to knock out toney. toney has never even been seriously hurt in his career and peter did rock him pretty good,,,but its peter's fights with pudar,,shufford,,and hawkins. these guys have been knocked out before and peter should have been able to stop them if he was such a monsterous puncher like people say he is. hes strong as an ox but his punches are just too long and lack the snap to knock quaility heavyweights out

You're comparing the fights wrong. The fights against Byrd and Brock were much easier.

1) Klitscho was not worried that much about their power.
2) Klitscho fought defensive against Peter, not Offensive till the later rounds when Peter ran out of Juice.

Most of the fight Klitscho was backing up against Peter, How was he throwing his hardest shots backing up??

You need to watch the fight again, Wlad worked his jab a lot in that fight. And he will not knock you out with a jab, it's his 1-2 with the cross that got rid of Brock and Byrd. And almost got rid of Peter. Would you disagree that Wlad wobbled him?

I just don't think Peters chin has been tested enough to say he has the best Chin or that you could hit him with a sledge hammer and he would still be there. The only real heavy handed HW he has fought has been Wlad.

I partly agree with you. wlad is the only real big puncher peter faced and wlad was pretty much just boxing peter and not fully committing with his shots like he normally does but he did land a couple pretty big right hands and peter did take them well and that left hook in the last round was a punch that put many heavies on there backs including ray mercer and shufford who are pretty durable heavyweights. so I dont see who you can put ahead of peter in the chin department even tho his chin is still somewhat untested. valuev shouldnt be in there becuase he's yet to have faced a big accurate puncher

Toney did school Peter but gave the last 20 sec to Peter in nearly every round and usually the judge remeber the last thing that they see.

another thing Peter had one fatal mistake if he correct it he will KO toney.

in the last fight he stunted Toney but didnt come foward to KO he just stunted him and he went back. I think that is because the experince that Peter doesnt have but he will come more polished in this fight

Peter by TKO in the 9th. Peter is still very raw at 26, hes got Alltime Great Power but average boxing skills maybe even below average. If this kid ever got it all together, THERE IS NO ONE in the HW division that can touch him.

All time great power my Ass. Maybe if the guy learned how to throw a punch instead of the ****ing windmill. Once he loses his edge and cant rely on youth its over. This guy is the #1 over-rated Heavy out there plus the refs better do somethin about his rabbit punches before he ****in hurts someone permanently with that ****.
