Let's get some real talk here. This is assuming the rematch does fall through and it happens early next year. What can Barrera do? He has age, speed, and probably power, all against him. He is a great boxer indeed though how long can he box and hold off Manny? For 12 rounds? I think not. Can he just go to war and slug it out with Manny? Morales found out the hard way attemping that. Although at least he went out like a champ. What will Barrera do? I think one of the best things you could use against Manny was a jab as Morales showed in the first fight. Though after the first fight, Manny figured out how to take away Morale's jab and if you watch towards the 2nd half of the 2nd fight and the entire 3rd fight, Morales abandons his jab for the most part since he payed dearly everytime he threw it. Countered under the jab with the left or a right hook. What else can Barrera do?
Easier said than done... in terms of skills, MAB may still have it, but i doubt that he still have the speed and reflexes to do it to Pac... another thing is, Pac is no Hamed... I think Pac is faster now than the first time they met... it would spell doom for MAB...
Hamed is a onehanded fighter, thats why Marco was able to beat him so easily. Manny uses both his hands profiecently, Marco couldnt just circle to the left and take away Manny's left. Also Manny has a lot more footspeed compared to Hamed.
I think the best gameplan is for Mab to comes into the fight in the best possible condition. And take a page from Hatton's book. Hatton is able to neutralize opponent's superior handspeed and power by sticking in their chest the whole fight and outworking them. If Marco can come in top fight shape and just stay in extremely close to Manny to take away the handspeed and leverage Manny needs to throw that dynamic left hand he could stand a chance to win.
it's getting tougher and tougher to outbox Pacquiao, Manny's boxing is improving and has great stamina, he always has. but the thing here is that if barerra is going to box pacquiao like he did against juarez in their rematch, barerra isnt going to really get any credit and might not sway the judges because even the judges will want to see a fight and not a hit and run match, but i don't think that fighting style will work with Pacquiao. Pac is better at cutting off the ring and his hands are 1o times faster than Juarez's hands. plus once Barerra gets hit he throws back immediately, which could be Barerra's down fall in this fight, because Manny's hands are fast than Barerra's and Manny hits harder, not to forget that Barerra will be a sitting duck standing and trading and risks getting KO'd if he does.
the best thing i think for Barerra is to fight moving in and out, use a stiff jab, work the body and the most important tying up and clinching so manny can't get any shots off on the inside or on the break, make the ref seperate them. instead of punching with Pacquiao, Barerra ought to tie him up as often as possible to help off set Manny's rhythm and not let Manny throw at will. also on the inside barerra ought to look into throwing uppercuts, with Manny throwing with both hands whenever he throws and coming forward like he does, Marco has some openings to land and uppercut, then clinch when they collide. it's tough to do, but someone with Barerra's experience he should be able to manage. this might not be the most exciting approach and might not impress the judges but it will allow Barerra to control things so he doesn't get swarmed by Pacquiao.

Barerra needs to eat 3 BALUTs everyday (1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon and 1 in the evening) for a whole month before fight night...Guaranteed! This will will give him more power and energy and he'll surpass PAKYAW's stamina, speed and power...BALUT is the SECRET!
