What can Barrera do to beat Manny in rematch?

Let's get some real talk here. This is assuming the rematch does fall through and it happens early next year. What can Barrera do? He has age, speed, and probably power, all against him. He is a great boxer indeed though how long can he box and hold off Manny? For 12 rounds? I think not. Can he just go to war and slug it out with Manny? Morales found out the hard way attemping that. Although at least he went out like a champ. What will Barrera do? I think one of the best things you could use against Manny was a jab as Morales showed in the first fight. Though after the first fight, Manny figured out how to take away Morale's jab and if you watch towards the 2nd half of the 2nd fight and the entire 3rd fight, Morales abandons his jab for the most part since he payed dearly everytime he threw it. Countered under the jab with the left or a right hook. What else can Barrera do?

seriously though. barera can do what he did to juarez but like you said will it work for twelve rounds? and pac throws 3 to 4 times more than rocky and just keep on attacking.

I think you could forget about Barrera's performance against Rocky Juarez in 2nd fight. Rocky is nothing like Manny in terms of style as some people see. Sure he's a big hitter, that's about it. He's waaaaay too passive and shows no angles or plan of attack. The Barrera vs Juarez would not be the same Barrera vs Manny. It would not work at all. The judges would give rounds to Manny just for Manny bombing at air while Barrera rides his bike.

What he has to do is outbox Pac for 12 rounds, & as we know, that's easier said then done, although Morales did it once & I honestly think Barrera has it in him to do it too.

dont know why no-ones figured out that if you foul pac alot, you can take him out of his rythm. just watch sanchez and hussien fights. MAB just has to pull a few tricks out of Hopkins' hat and he can gte a UD.

Barrera's best chance is to BOX BOX BOX and avoid being caught with the big bombs from Pac. He can steal some rounds by fighting a smart fight. It would be foolish to try what El Terrible did and that's to exchange toe to toe.

He has to fight with a similar style as he had against Hamed. Box, moving side to side, mostly to his left, keeping an eye out on Pman's right hook. Set everything up with the jab. Stick and move all night. If he hurts Pman he shouldn't go after him unless he's really hurt, many fighters thought they had him hurt and ended up on their backs.

Being a part of Boxing for so long theres just certain guys that have other fighters numbers. Now the argument can be made that Manny has possibly everyones number now. But that doesnt mean Barerra cant dig deep and pull out the magic that we seen so many time early in his career. Barerra can be a little smarter i feel in this fight, he wasnt in shape mentally for the first fight so this fight he needs to prepare as if its his last huurah and get his mind right. If he does that he can win this fight.
