You just knew the fight was over when Calzaghe said in his corner that Lacy's power was "****".

Remember when everyone said Joe didn’t have the chin, power nor heart to compete with a pissed off Byron Mitchell..

I love Joe's showmanship, but I doubt he will be saying this stuff in the states, especially if its against Hop or Taylor.

I remember reading in the paper about Joe about future stars of the sport and a guy said remember the name Joe Calzaghe. This is before Joe was known or even a professional i think

I always thought Joe was good, but didnt know how good he was as an amatuer as well. Hasnt lost since 18 years old. Joe Calzaghe is better than Sugar Ray Robinson.
Not really......but when you learn a bit more about Joe you know he is no ordinary bloke. You only downside to Joe is that by this stage of his career he could of had a few extra known names on his CV. Names like Glencoffe, Tarver and perhaps Hopkins as well if he had of fought them earlier. But Joe got injured if im right.

You know what I dont understand when it comes down to all these "underated" English Boxers is why the hell dont they just come to the USA and fight here. I mean Iam pretty sure Joe has made some big money boxing in the UK but would he have not had enough money earlier in his career to start fighting in the US?

I dont know what are the exact steps for becoming a professional fighter in the US but there are thousands of pro boxers so it cant be that hard.

Again I really dont know if there are problems with pro fighters from other countries comming to US to fight, but the Mexicans have been doing it for Decades.

Not true. Calzaghe last lost when he was 17, and even then it was a robbery.

He went 121-9, but I know he had six losses on his record before he won his first ABA title (1985 Schoolboy's in Derby).
