Jones was the superior athlete, Mayweather the better technique. What it would come down to is that Jones had power and Mayweather hadn't any.

this is really a no brainer. RJJ had the power, PBF did not.

      RJJ by TKO rd 11

Presuming you mean in a mythical p4p clash......Jones. Think of Jone Jr-Toney, for this fight would look an awful lot like that. Jones was too fast, to unorthodox, too slick, and punches way too hard.

Jones by 12 round schooling at this point....maybe later on we'll see evidence that FLoyd could deal with the likes of a Roy Jones Jr; but we haven't seen that yet.

Roys quick hands, power and unorthodox style gives him a win over Mayweather even if they are naturally at the same weight. Jones didn't fight the greatest of great comp in his career and may have rubbed some people the wrong way because of that, but dude was un****ingbelievable in his heyday. His handspeed nullifies Floyds excellent defense much like it did Toneys, but Floyd doesn't have nearly the chin Toney had to fall back on.

I was just going to say that. Floyd is similar to Toney in some ways but what happens when Floyd gets hurt (p4p matchup)? Roy would take him out if he wanted to at that point whereas Toney was able to go 12.

This is the kinda **** im talkin about, finally i get people expressing there muther ****in opinions. Roy was still a muther ****in puncher even when he was at middle weight, he fought at JMiddleweight in the olympics(i think) so we'll see how Floyd does at 154. People said that Toney would humiliate Roy Jones Jr, dont forget what happened. Roy was a freak-of-nature and would get Floyd out quick.

If your asking who the better fighter is...

Mayweather is the best ever. No question for me.

If were talking prime Floyd DID NOT RUN from Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jesus Chavez, and DeMarcus Corley. He didn't run from Zab Judah. He only "ran" somewhat in his last fight. Open your damn eyes.

This is a ****** ass question. Roy fought 160 and higher. Mayweather's best weight is probably 135 or 140. Obviously Roy would have an advantage at 154 or higher. Roy is stronger, throws better combos, Floyd has better footwork, and has better defense. I wouldn't argue someone picking Roy but this is a dumbass matchup IMO.

A better question would be...Who is better in their prime?
