Cintron Looks To Squash Mosley

He is not in Mosleys class...even an older Shane Mosley.

That's really the bottom line.

Mosley looked ill prepared against Estrada and he still did enough to win the fight. That's also the wrong type of guy to not have a gameplan against.

Estrada and Cintron are similar in they're monolithic. I don't know where the topic starter gets the idea that Cintron can "move" because I found that hilarious. I think the only time I've seen him "move" was against Hicket Lau years ago on a NBC boxing production.

Regardless....Cintron is built like a skinny refrigerator and those types just can't move around the ring. They're the ones who get hit by guys like Mosley with the counter right. Too lanky and not enough coordination to use the length..........something that differs from Forrest and Wright.

You guys are forgetting that the version that SSM beat of Vargas was one that was way pass his prime, a Vargas that due to his back problems has become a stationary target and in all honesty not yardstick to measure SSM…I love SSM…how can’t you the guy is all guts and class…the type of boxer many should strive to be…but….Kermit is a the top of his game,. He is fighting a stronger, hard hitting opponent, not an over the hill opponent, Kermit has been improving leaps and bounds since the Margo fight his association with Emanuel has nothing but injected a level of self confidence that he never had…he is tough, can punch like a MW, and has long reach, greater left hook, and upper cut that will present trouble to SMM….I am staying with my fellow PR, Kermit to win by stoppage…

I really don't think anyone is claiming Mosley is in his "prime".....or the Vargas that Mosley demolished was in his "prime". Albeit you might be correct about Cintron being a better fighter than Vargas right now......he's not a better fighter than Mosley. In fact, he doesn't have anywhere near the level of skill....and is a stationary target for a guy like Shane.

Cintron is bigger and stronger: There's really no dis*****g that. Mosley isn't weak considering he can bench press 350 pounds and was a high school power lifter.....lol but Cintron is a naturally bigger man yes.

It doesn't change the fact you could be bigger, stronger, faster, have a better chin(Which there's no way in sam hell he has anywhere near as good a chin as Mosley), and harder punching(Which I'm not sold on).....and you could still get caught reaching with a right hand.

If your prophecy doesn't play out correctly I would have to place money on Mosley stopping Cintron in the late rounds after dragging him into deep water.

Cintron's biggest win was against Estrada, and that's not really saying much.

Yeah, I have and Estrada is the best fighter he's beaten. I suppose you could praise a Teddy "Two Gun" Reid all you want because of his power:

But Hicklet Lau is the next best fighter he's beaten next to Estrada....and he's a notorious loser(guy who never wins fights) but at least he fights excellent opposition compared to his counterparts. Reid was notorious for knocking out total bums on FNF and when faced with a stern test he collapses.

i think that collazo vs mosely would of been a better fight...
mosely will outbox cintron easily.
if i were cintron i wouldn't take the fight, he needs a few more fights under his current trainer, he's definately gonna get better but he's not at the level he should be to take this fight.

I think this fight is better... There is a chance for a brutal KO in this fight! And that makes it exciting.

Kermit Cintron is no way near the boxer Forrest was. He's not as accurate & not a sharp shooter either. He had life & death battles with Teddy Reid & David Estrada who aren't even close to being on the same level as Mosely even now. David Estrada was hitting Cintron pretty easily & had him hurt on a few occasions. Mosely's speed & punching power will be the difference in the fight if this happened. If Vargas couldn't move Mosely with his power; I don't see the smaller Cintron hurting him either. I can see Mosely putting Cintron down with a body shot though.

I'm going with Kermit on this one if he can keep using his JAB and setting him up for some power shots. he cold probably KO him or TKO him. But at the same time let see what Kermit does when some one else is dishing some fire back at him he does get hit alot.
