Is Cory Spinks one of the elites?

Based on recent interview by his manager Kevin Cunningham about the elites avoiding him and on his past perormance in the ring....

Is Cory Spinks a pay per view boxer and do you consider him one of the elites?

I'd say he's in top five of his division but not elite. Given the fact that he does have talent and doesn't have much of a fan base (his style is boring, not a PPV fighter) the risk to reward ratio would make it hard for him to get the fights he wants. He needs to leverage his belt in order to get good paydays.

He will never be a ppv boxer.
He is not elite, but he was at 147.

spinks is keepin a belt warm waiting for the highest bidder. i dont think he will fight karmazin again cause he took a beating down the stretch and won it on his bicycle. they fight again karmazin would break him down and knock him out.

@154 lbs he isnt even top 5, in fact id say that paul williams could move up from 147 and kick his ass anytime he felt like it along with 5 or 6 other guys.

with wins over karmazin , mayorga, judah,
and possibly the possible namesake of being "ducked" by mayweather after mayweather opted to fight baldi instead..not that i agree with this statement in full BUT ...when you say i'll fight one guy and then you fight another that would be defined as a duck no matter how lucrative the second propersition may be ... i dont make the rules so dont bombard me with death threats and hate mail please hahaha

i'd say hes top 3 division matierial if he'd just get some more fights agianst top opps we'd get a better looksy

Spinks is a solid boxer, but not an elite one.

No,I wouldn't consider Cory an all around elite fighter.More of a decent boxer who can give some of the elite fighters trouble with his style. But he's definetly a top dog in the 154 pound division. He did beat the top ranked guy, whether it was impressive or not.

He's good, but not elite. He's on Zab Judah's level, as in he's close to elite but he's missing something to get to the next level...

Kevin Cunningham said that the elites De La Hoya, Mosley and Mayweather are avoiding Spinks because they know what time it is. Kevin said that Mayweather fighting Baldomir and De La Hoya fighting Mayorga were joke fights.
