I think Wald is the top HW right now. If he's given the chance, I think he will unify the title. But freakin Don King will have to screw things up.

....Yes they will, and political bull**** will never allow this fight to happen. Fight fans should stand up and scream about what the WBC is about to do. Even if the WBC allows it there will be problems with the protest. However, I don't know why Peter or Toney would want to protest though, since they would have a shot at unified titles if they just wait a couple of months longer.

You mean a year longer, if Wlad fights Maskaev in May, then the earliest Wlad will fight will be November or December 2007, Wlad does not fight 3 or 4 times a year.

...Toney or Peter wouldn't be able to fight Maskaev until around April or may at the earliest. Wlad is fighting every 6 months or so. It would be a 5-6 month wait for them to face Wlad tops. Hell, they could work the timetable into an agreement to put off the mandatory. Anyone against unification has alterior motives IMO. They don't want to see Wlad with two belts.

Im hoping this fight ends in some kind of contreversy again like a draw or some other **** then they cant do anything about it...

If the WBC allow Maskaev to fight Wlad then they will probably get sued by the winner of Toney/Peter match! Like I said before, Maskaev is not the only belt holder, a unfication can always happen against Briggs and the Giant!

but why would they really care, they will be fighting for 2 belts not one.

IBO is owned by IBF, thus if you win IBF, you automatically get IBO

What happens if the winner of Maskaev/Wlad gets a cut? Then they will not be able to fight during that time frame.
