Its hard to ignore cotto being weight drained since the Branco fight, leading all the way up to the paulie fight cotto stayed in shape but he just looked so sick.

Prior to the Cotto fight,Malignaggi didnt impress me at all,Im just being honest,I thought cotto was going to KO him quick for a reason,he showed great survival insticts but I still think theres plenty of trouble for him @ 140 with guys like torres(yes paulie is a boxer, but he still get it too much IMO) and Mike Arnoutis,I dont exactly expect him to beat hatton either.

Cotto was weight-drained, but he recovers well overnight. Plus, Malignaggi was sooo much smaller than Cotto that night that the physical advantage all around went to Cotto. I didn't think Malignaggi would survive in the kind of fight they fought and Cotto slowed down precipitously when Malignaggi picked up the pace. Even then, just being in there with Cotto is no easy task.

my initial reaction to paulie and all his antics is poser. he is a camacho copycat.

he seems to be very articulate and generally does not come off as a pompous **** in this interview. he would have a lot more fans this way especially because he is
        A) italian
        B) white
        C) good looking.

I'd have to disagree with you on Cotto's recovery, Paulie clinched and when he did he manhandled Cotto, Cotto look exhausted in the mid rounds and closed the show hard on pure heart alone, not to mention he broke his left hand, his major weapon.

He manhandled Cotto? I'm not sure if Paulie Malignaggi ever manhandled anybody. Here's a cool Youtube of Malignaggi training.
